"Yeah, hopefully Areola won't miss too many, but he's not had any serious or long term injuries before, so I don't think there's anything to be concerned about. Also, I imagine Moyes figured that his No 2 was almost equal to Areola so didn't rush him back. Certainly 2 of the 7 league games he missed this season he was on the bench for and could have played. I expect Anang will be 3rd choice unless maybe Trott comes back. Anang at least played a role this season in helping Kudus get settled (they're both from Accra) and used to drive him to and from training, etc."

"Nagel 12:39 Wed May 15 Yeah, as I said, not injury prone...lol! Must be honest I didn't realise his attendance record at Fulham was quite so strong, but this is the first season for us as first choice so the first in which he's been called upon to play week in week out (and the first at 30+) and he's missed almost 20% of the league games. Obviously Fab is staying, but who's third choice, Anang?"

I’m with you boots. But he has a microphone and a platform. And it’s silly season. It’s going to be a long few months. And ultimately we are going to be disappointed. But seeing some of natives run around with their pants on fire. Does have it moments.

"West Ham are tracking Croatian international Bikarfyl Watywiszphor, a fee of around £35m for the striker could seal the deal. The 23 year old has had 32 goal contributions from 40 games this season. https://twitter.com/Hammer_On_X?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1790623632693112851%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url= WHAT A NAME !!!"

"Sport Witness West Ham and Brighton ‘trying to put together’ offer after making contact – Player set for summer exit By Naveen Ullal Two months ago, Calciomercato stated West Ham United could be an option for Udinese’s Lazar Samardžić in the summer window. The Hammers continue to be named as a suitor, along with Brighton & Hove Albion, who already looked at him in the winter market. That’s at least what Mondo Udinese are reporting about the 26-year-old, who is set to leave the Serie A side after this season. West Ham, Brighton, Napoli and Juventus have all shown interest in the midfielder, and the two Italian clubs have been following him for a while. It’s further explained that these four teams have requested information about the player. With regards to the Premier League duo, Mondo Udinese state West Ham and Brighton are ‘trying to put together the right offer’ to secure the Serbia international’s services. Samardžić has scored five goals and registered two assists from 32 league games this season, and the report says his recent displays have helped Udinese to get out of the relegation zone They are currently 16th, a point behind 18th placed Empoli. Taking this into account, the player’s current valuation now needs to be determined, and the outlet makes no mention of any figures, either for his asking price or the fee West Ham and Brighton could offer."

"Yea, this Cresswell story won't go away, is it just because he's home grown that we're happy for him to stay for another year, or because they'd rather not spend money on back up LB? Apparently he wants to go and think he can 2 years somewhere, preferably up north. At least Oggy is defo leaving. The Euro's also comes into the mix in regards to maybe slowing things down."

Until we get a manager through the door and the window opens up. It’s all bollock’s.! If Steidten been here a year. And can’t get an upgrade on Cresswell (Even at bargain basement prices.) Then what’s the point of him being here.?

"The Athletic Aaron Cresswell (contract expires 2024) Cresswell’s soon-to-expire deal does not include a one-year option. He has been at West Ham for 10 years, having joined from Ipswich Town in 2014, and West Ham are hopeful the 34-year-old left-back will stay for another season."

"""Areola does tend to miss 5 or 6 weeks every season."" Bit of an exaggeration that. Areola was unavailable for 7 games in all comps this season, with 5 of them coming in the space of 16 days last month. He missed 4 games the previous season, and zero in the 2 years before that. Given that we have no European games next season, it's unlikely that we'll need to call upon his services much, but Fabianski is still a decent enough backup. I wonder what's going to happen with Nathan Trott. Out of contract in the summer but we have a 2 year extension option. He's had a great season in the Danish 1st division by all accounts so maybe it's worth trying to loan him out at a higher level next year."

"If Fabianski isn't worthy enough to be our number 2 next season, then I'd question why we extended his £65k a week contract for another season. GOALTENDER is literally the only position we don't need to look at. Every other position on the pitch needs strengthening before that."

"Only concern on Fab is that whilst I wouldn't call him injury prone, Areola does tend to miss 5 or 6 weeks every season. That's OK, but all we'd need is for that to become an extended period and we'd be left with a 39/40 year old between the sticks and a kid on the bench for a couple of months. Not Roberto levels of poor planning but I still think we need another number 2"

Reckon Fab can do one more season behind Areola so dont need a keeper Saw Seaman was saying Ramsdale should go to West Ham. Do fuck off I'd like to see Scarles & Robinson assessed as potential full back/wing back options

"One obvious thing you notice about all the top teams across Europe, in the modern game, is the abundance of real pace across the team and especially in the back line ( 4, 3 or 5 at the back) . It was always the case that many wingers and forwards were rapid but take City and even Spurs their defences are super quick. Of course allied to that these players particularly for City are so good technically and the 2 full backs can be wing backs and along with centre backs are all able to hit 50, 60 yard diagonal balls to the feet or chest of team mates, have instant control and first touch. All so comfortable on the ball. City’s slowest players were probably De Bruyne and Rodri in centre mid. Spurs were able to knock them out of their rhythm with pacy players, pressing very fast in a conjested midfield. Long winded way ( thats what I do :-) ) of me hoping these traits will be priorities in our recruitment at the back as well as forward positions. Its the thing that stands out a mile in Moyes teams. Aside from Bowen and Antonio he never valued pace and even technique as much as physicality. Steidten started to address that last summer with Kudus and even Dinis and Alvarez being mobile and possessing good technique. Young Potts has great technique and can mive fairly quickly and Downes similar so they will help the squad as back up and/or alongside Alvarez in the centre mid. Its the full or wing back areas and centre backs we need to see bolstered in this respect too. Anyone know much about this Greaves fella at Hull? Is he a Steidten pick? Quick? Good control and passing? The U21s seem to have potentially 2 or 3 that might come into the squad and seem to possess these traits. Well Earthy seemed to? Just hoping we get a fair few of the many transfers needed in early. Worst thing would be like last season where most of our business was concluded very late."
