Just seen a clip of Downes saying IRONS down the mic during the saints victory presentation. When he was asked if he would stay with them too. Good lad.

Only concern with Jota Silva would be that all his good stats this season came when playing at Right Sided Forward (per Whoscored) and we have 2 of them in Kudus and Bowen already!

"I don't believe there is any obligation to sell Downes and I hope we don't. From what I have seen Jota Silva would be a great signing, can play left, right or through the middle."

"Downes made more tackles than anyone else on the pitch, with seven, while he also made a vital block to keep out Crysencio Summerville’s goal-bound shot early in the second half. The 25-year-old ended his stay at St Mary’s Stadium with 37 appearances, two goals and three assists to his name, and a Play-Off winner’s medal around his neck. ""Maybe we should keep him."""

Nuts. I think there was a deal already in place if Southampton went up.? Reports coming out saying we want Leeds Winger Crysencio Summerville. (Leeds are looking for £40 million.) Ain't happening. And Atletico Madrid's Samu Omorodion (Atletico want around £60 million.) Again. Won't be happening. June 14th can't come around quickly enough.!

"Someone who I would like us to go for is Ramsdale. I thought it was needless of Arteta to fuck him off out the side for David Raya and if there's a chance to get him, I'd want us to he all over it. At 26yo and his experience, he's at a very good age and could cement a place in our Team. Not everyone's cuppa tea but for us I think he'd be a decent fit. I rate his goalkeeping ability overall better than Areola."

"The 72 Leicester City face West Ham competition for Birmingham City midfielder Leicester City are facing fresh competition for Birmingham City midfielder Jordan James with West Ham also keen, as per reporter Alan Nixon. Leicester City are heading up to the Premier League and while they’ve got to be careful with their spending, the Foxes will be hopeful of making some additions. A PSR punishment awaits Enzo Maresca’s side, so key assets may have to be sold while those brought in will have to be in shrewd deals as they look to stay on the right side of regulations this time around One player the club has been credited with an interest in is Birmingham City midfielder Jordan James. Now, fresh claims have emerged regarding the summer battle for his signature. Reporter Alan Nixon states on his Patreon that Leicester City and long-term admirers Atalanta look to be facing competition from West Ham in the fight for the 19-year-old Welshman. Julen Lopetegui, the Hammers’ new boss, eyed James during his time at Wolves, and contact has been made. James managed eight goals in 42 Championship games last season and it seems highly likely that he moves on from Birmingham City following their relegation. James would have been a strong contender for a summer move away from Birmingham City even if they had staved off relegation. However, as they head for League One, a switch seems inevitable. Clubs such as Leicester City, Atalanta and new admirers West Ham may well be sizing up a swoop as they look at a potential bargain for a highly talented player. City’s negotiation position certainly won’t have grown stronger after their drop, though they are in a good place financially and will still want a good fee for James. While the Hereford-born midfielder only has a year left on his deal, the club hold the option to extend his stay by a further 12 months. That effectively secures his future until 2026."

"paulon 7:19 Fri May 24 ''We won't be paying £45m'' Correct. A 26 year old from Wolverhampton Wanderers with no England caps is not fetching 45 fucking mil, suspect it will be circa 30 mil or we walk away."

"£30-40m Alf?? I'd want that for just Benrahma and Soucek. Aguerd we'd be looking to recoup our investment of c£30m. Zouma depends on if he could ever pass a medical, if he can then you're looking at one of the most consistent centre halfs outside the top 6. there's about £70m of sales there."

"Could be wrong but get the impression Lopetegui likes experinced older heads in a Squad, hence chasing both Cresswell and Antonio when at Wolves, just as he appreciated Dawson as long as he thinks they can still do it and are good enough for what he needs in a Squad. Ogbonna I can see being sent on his way but not so sure about some others. Also depends what offers are made too which could force his hand. Ings springing to mind."

"Reckon Soucek and Coufal will move on. At their age they will want to start most weeks especially as that is what they are used to in the Moyesball system. Would be great to keep Coufal as squad back up but cant blame him if he doesnt want to stay. Right back will likely be an area for improvement if Loppy has, as reported, been watching us for a while? Funds from Coufal, Benrahma, Soucek, Aguerd and even old Zouma might bring in 30 -40 million for the kitty? We typically have a base budget of 50, have 30-40 additional from European exploits and 20 odd from sales of Fornals and Kehrer? Might get us to the 150 million budget capability level? That said, Sullivan has a nasty habit of conveniently forgetting sales / loan to sale of players we make in Jan windows."
