"I would love Toney to come, but apart from not even putting a bid in I don't see him ending up here somehow."

"Stowie.40 1:24 Fri Jul 19 Dont disagree with that. By saying he's nothing like Antonio, I wasn't trying to imply that, as a footballer, he isn't 100% better"

"He is in a different league to Antonio let’s be honest, yeah maybe not a battering ram like Antonio but he trumps him in every other department. You have him up top with kudus & Bowen buzzing round him you’d be laughing."

"I still think Toney would make a good buy at £50m, but mainly because I thought he was a bit like Antonio but one who can finish reliably. Not sure how Lope will set up (yes I watched the friendly and it told me nothing)."

"Even if we got a bid accepted for Toney I don’t think he’d come. Wages would be to high, also think he’d rather sit it at Brentford for a year and get a host of clubs after him for a free."

No one is coughing up £50 million for Toney. Youth is where the money is at. Brentford want a bidding war. No one is paying north of £35 million.

"Foderingham, Wan Bissaka/KWP, Cresswell, Antonio/Ings, Kilman, Bowen, JWP...7 meaningful home grown players if you include a likely home grown right back to come in, and likely we attempt to lose one of the strikers..... Irving if he's up to it makes 8. So we're pretty much all good (and it's only important in terms of having the max senior squad to choose from of 25 players not U21)."

As Sir Alf said the read on Wan Bissaka is that he is very good one on one and generally defensively but has a limited attacking game Can remember Zaha saying he hated training against him as he was so hard to beat one on one Think thats how he came to prominence at Palace training with the first team Nelson is basically a squad player at Arsenal so they should be realistic as to price He has played so little I have no view as to whether he is any good

"Swiss its always about opinions and observations so they vary but my take is that Bissaka is a very good defender but a bit like Johnson going forward, limited, poor crossing etc. But he will definitely see us plug the holes at RB defensively where poor old Coufal got “raped” for pace half a dozen times last season. Imho of course :-) If we get Bissaka for 15 million and his wages down from 100 bags a week, it will improve us."

"Nelson very unlikely based on Arsenal pricing hich is always unrealistic. We have to remember most of the transfer rumours are just noise. Todibo and Duran appear to be targets although Villa will have to lower the price if they want him sold. With 4-6 weeks of the window left clubs like Villa are chancing their arm but will need to sellto finance the Onana purchase to satisfy FFP. The nature of these windows is that it forces deals to be done late as the agents greed, clubs etc trying to stripe other clubs for the max amount. So I still see this causing our business to be concluded late Hope to he completely wrong but thats how its shaping up"

Latest from socials: Kudus been offered £11m per year by the Saudi mob but been told he is not going anywhere by Lope. Looks like Tobido deal could well be on as overnight Juve agreed deal with Cabal. They wanted Califiori (who went to Arse) but then turned to Cabal and Tobido. But Cabal was completed overnight. Tobido is now being urged by Nice to accept the move as they need to money and told him no bid will now come from Juve. We have refused to pau Villa £35m for Jhon Duran but Villa have now asked us to tell them what we are willing to pay to see if a deal can be negotiated. Looks like they want to sell. Reiss Nelson has agreed terms but issues over Arsenal's asking price.

I mentioned Irving. I forgot about Cresswell and Ings though. Antonio is 'Jamaican' and I don't count a third choice goalkeeper who will never play any meaningful minutes.
