He can play well almost anywhere across midfield, so can fill in for or play alongside Alvarez no problem. He's still excellent. He is the ideal player for our two yoots that are rated but not quite ready to play in the Prem to learn from as Kante is a good pro and legendary down to earth nice chap. He s is the couple of years bridge between old and new. I'm happier with this than I am spunking 40m on Toney for example."

Signing Kante is like singing Zabaleta. World class pro. Who would be a great influence for everyone around the squad. With the club trying too squeeze the last juice out of the tank. He would most likely start as much as Downes would have. If the price is right. Seems a non brainier.

We got a couple in early but even Steidten will again see the remainder being completed near or just after season start imo. Not his fault, its greed as always and entitlement if the rich clubs, their pkayers and agents. Im hoping it doesnt see us struggling early on but wouldnt be surprised. Im hoping Potts, Earthy and some yoofs can step up to bridge the gap but thats probably just that… hope."

If Loppy didn’t care about our youth then he’d probably sign the next younger Kante? We may be in a situation where a few of our youth need a pathway but are not quite ready so to be mentored by an older player who’s won it all might be a good thing? We are filling out a squad as well as building for the future…..they have stated it’s a project….
