If a player allows his agent to scupper his transfer over the agents greed for a personal bung then he doesnt want to join All agent fees should be paid by the player Would see a bit more realism in that case

I’m not that bothered about the Munich full back but doesn’t bold well. I fully expect news in the next few days that any move for Duran will be off.

Agents really are parasites... there needs to be some legislation brought in capping agents commission at a certain (very low) percentage of any deal.

"Mate, I tend to avoid anything to do with him because I find he backtracks so much but I know some like him and thought it was a good round up of his stuff, so nicked it from KUMB. KUMB cracks me up as well. They are so hot on valid sources but yet still hang on everything that Jinxed says."

"No agreement has been reached with Mazraoui’s agent though and as a result, the deal is now ‘off’ and West Ham have ‘left the negotiations’, according to German broadcaster Sky Deutschland."

"Yep no idea mate. They are probably better placed than us to know what their players are on. I would guess that the bigger club thing is the issue, thinks he is better than he is."

LJC - The AWB wages issue is interesting as this was a topic being discussed on twitter yesterday by Man Utd fans who were adamant that AWB is not on extortionate wages and on less than Mazraoui by all accounts.

I don't get this Southampton business. They are absolutely desperate to buy Downes and we roll over and sell him for a measly £3m profit in a position where our no.1 player is out injured and we don't use him as a bargaining chip in trying to get the player we want... crazy.

Fauxstralian 12:53 Fri Jul 26 Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread Mate it’s all rumours I know nothing for sure and am not itk it’s just stuff I’ve read in the media and other sites like KUMB. The ones I read in regards to us not offering him a contract are mainly two. 1) His dad seems to be very difficult and has rubbed certain people up the wrong way and 2) A couple of seasons ago he was seen as the biggest hope in the youth set up but lately that is not the case and it is thought that others have now surpassed him. I would find it very strange that we have not atleast tried to sort out a contract of some kind for a highly thought of youth even if the above two were true. It makes no sense even if we include all the shortcomings of Sullivan. If I had to guess I would say he has had his head turned as it seems we seem to be losing the odd youth here and there recently but that’s only a guess and I could be wildly wrong.

"LJC Has anyone said why he hasnt been offered a contract earlier? (If that is the case) Was the offer to Villa of Orford + cash for Duran from our side or theirs? If our side , why if we want to keep him?"

"catradio.cat/totcosta Sergi Roberto, practically out of Barça Deco has personally called the player to maintain the proposal, but does not offer him any guarantee that he will be able to be registered. Aston Villa, West Ham and Ajax, the best positioned to sign the player. http://catradio.cat/totcosta"

"Lifted from KUMB. Ex update… - The club had already turned down an offer for Lewis Orford from Villa earlier in the window. - It does appear that the club realise the nature of the mistake they could be making and seem to be hoping to try and convince Orford to stay with loose contract conversations set to happen on Friday. - The club are insistent that they want to keep the player and had prepared a good career path for him. However something has obviously not worked with the communication here. - What hasn’t helped as well, and it isn’t just the case with Orford it is for any other academy player, is that they have heard of the finances used to bring in 18 year old (and unproven in the prem) Brazilian midfielder Guilherme. His wages would be considerably higher than any of the other 18 year olds at the club but you could argue in the case of 4 or 5 of them they are just as worthy as earning as much. - Orford won’t want to have to leave West Ham, it’s his boyhood club, he wanted to have opportunities around the first team and for his future to be sorted which isn’t unreasonable requests and this is proven by the fact that Villa and other clubs are prepared to do this. - Orford was told he had preseason to show what he could do. - Duran, player power usually wins and we should be able to secure him. We may just have to wait longer. - Other forward options will be explored with Artem Dovbyk of Athletico Madrid having been one of them. - We have agreed a fee for Moroccan right back Noussair Mazraoui. The structure of this deal is still to be finalised plus the complete details of his personal terms however the club hope to get him over the line soon. There are some reports that he could even join the squad in the USA. - Originally KWP and AWB were the key targets for RB. We eventually conceded defeat with KWP as Southampton wouldn’t lower their price and then with AWB whose wages were too high ultimately. He wasn’t prepared to move for what we were offering and he was also holding out for other offers from ‘bigger clubs’, such as Inter. - The centre back situation is still being monitored and again this largely depends on whether Zouma or Aguerd depart. Early talks have happened with a number of targets still being explored including Tomori, Solet and Chalobah. - The same can be said for the wing position where Summerville appears to now be the top target although currently remaining too expensive with other previous targets to be looked at again and expect to have updates on both positions soon, once the right back and other issues are concluded. - There is also a possibility that another central midfielder could be looked at but as this is not priority there may not be much of a budget set aside. We are said to like a few players with Sergi Roberto the former Barcelona player emerging as a potential target. We also have a long term admiration for Richard Rios of Palmeiras who really stood out a few times we watched Guilherme play however he is liked by many clubs and no talks have happened with us yet with him also likely to be too expensive. - We have had numerous free agents offered to us who could become more appealing as the window starts to draw to a close and we know what business has been done."
