"It's all very quiet on the subject of outgoings. There were stories a while ago that a couple of French clubs were interested in Aguerd but no offers as yet. For any player going from England to France there's a potential stumbling block with the drop in wages unless they're going to PSG. I can't see anyone wanting a crocked Zouma so I imagine he'll be 4th choice behind Kilman, Mavro and a new CB. Interesting that we still seem to be after a new CM, which I am desperately hoping means we'll lose Soucek - nice guy etc but surely incompatible with Loppy's style of football. Once again, I can't see other clubs falling over themselves to take him. I'm hoping that at least one of Orford and Earthy will go out on loan, which leaves JWP fighting for his place with the new guy and Potts as back-up. Up front it looks like we'll have either Duran or Füllkrug with Antonio as back-up, with the possibility of Bowen or Kudus standing in as striker if necessary, or maybe even Marshall if he catches Loppy's eye and doesn't get a loan. That leaves both Ings and Cornet looking surplus to requirements and yet again, it's hard to imagine there being much interest in either of them unless we practically give them away and at least in the case of Ings, they take a pay-cut. I have no idea to what extent, if any, our incomings depend on any of this lot being sold. All I can say is that we don't seem to be actively pushing any sales."

Guido Rodríguez talks at advanced stage according to Romano. Player had signed a pre-contract with Barcelona and played for Argentina in recent Copa America. Sounds as though he would be a great addition alongside Alvarez.

I was going to post that I still feel we need someone who can start in midfield ahead of Soucek/JWP. Someone who can look after the ball under pressure and keep posesssion.

Understood AWB might have gone to Inter as Man Utd wanted Denzel Dumfries Dumfries seems to be signing a new Inter contract so they won’t be interested

"While Sullivan has been penny wise trying to save 3-4 million on Wan Bissaka, the delay has “allegedly” allowed Inter Milan to hijack the deal as AWB supposedly prefers Italy as does about every other player we go for. In the old days, a life time supply of Nathan’s Pies would swing any deal our way but the modern interconnected world sees footballers and people generally prefering poncy, garnished food and for AWB its “Mama’s home made pasta” in Milan that has seen him allegedly slip from our grasp? On the other hand, could be made up bollox by a website? But surely not? Media and web sites wouldnt just make things up for clicks? ;-)"

I wouldn't touch mctominay with a bargepole. As a half jock watching him in the euros. It was exactly like watching soucek for us in the past 2 seasons.

The squad once Jimmy signs . Already looks better than last season's. And another 4 or 5 will come in as well. Thank god we have lopetegui as he won't stand Sullivans bullshit . Unlike Moyes.

The hold up on AWB seems to be agreement on the fee Not sure his agent can influence Man Utd’s claim even if he is Sullivan’s pal

"Manuel 3:30 Fri Aug 2 ""Hang on, Wan Bisakka's agent is Will Salthouse"" Whisper this quietly, but quite a few of our targets this summer have been clients of Unique Sports Group (Salthouse's company)."

ludo21 2:35 Fri Aug 2 Looks that way. But the whole thing is ridiculous now. How on earth does an agent get £5m from a transfer supposedly worth £11m to £12m? That's some commission. And when is someone in football going to make it law that the players pay the agents?

"Russ of the BML 11:12 Fri Aug 2 Personally, I'd tell Man U to fuck the fuck off whilst reminding them that they are NOT the Busby Babes or the team they once were in the last century, under Ferguson. They are no longer one of football's ""big hitters"", even if they still insist on trying to dine out on their now, fairly distant, history (and MSM pander to their every demand)."

Russ of the BML 11:12 Fri Aug 2 Sounds like ManU were stung with the extra 5m for the agent as we were and now want more for AWB.

Just read that Waturo Endo has been told by Arne Slot he is surplus to requirements at Liverpool and that West Ham have registered interest in signing him on loan with obligation to buy.
