"Sport Witness Competitor face ‘danger’ from Nottingham Forest and West Ham – PL duo make contact, €23m needed for signing By Naveen Ullal Last month, Messaggero Veneto reported Udinese are aware of Nottingham Forest’s interest in Jaka Bijol. The Premier League side aren’t alone as West Ham United are also chasing him this summer. That’s according to another report from Messaggero Veneto, who share more on Nottingham Forest and West Ham’s interest in the 25-year-old. Bologna have asked about the centre-back and been told by Udinese that they will need at least €25m for the Slovenia international. It’s claimed Bologna will face ‘danger’ from the Premier League, where an unnamed club have asked about him, along with Nottingham Forest and West Ham. VfB Stuttgart and VfL Wolfsburg are also among the interested parties. A month ago, Udinese technical director Nani revealed that Bijol has attracted interest from the Premier League, without stating the names of the clubs involved. He also stated his side could sell the player if they were to receive a convincing offer. West Ham are being linked with so many players right now that they may have just been thrown in, and Nottingham Forest aren’t far behind them."

"Hummels being linked to replace him, along with Trippier as an alternative to AWB. I wouldn't thought it would be possible us having an older and slower squad than we had last season."

"I wouldnt criticise Zouma When he joined he was excellent but that further knee injury has finished him Would never pass a proper medical for a serious club so getting him to Saudi is great business even if no fee .... £125k a week in wages to use elsewhere Good luck to him and his cats This Kadioglu would be a great capture, he was outstanding at the Euros in a very entertaining Turkish team Born in the Netherlands"

"Guardian The West Ham defender Kurt Zouma has agreed a move to the UAE Pro League side Shabab Al-Ahli and will travel for a medical. The 29-year-old made 33 Premier League appearances last season but would not be guaranteed game time under Julen Lopetegui and has decided to leave after a decade in England’s top flight. Zouma cost West Ham almost £30m from Chelsea in 2021 but is set to go for a nominal amount, helping Lopetegui free up wages and a space in the squad after the signing of six players, including the £40m Maximilian Kilman from Wolves. Zouma won two Premier League titles, the Champions League and the League Cup with Chelsea, and added a Europa Conference League winner’s medal in 2023."

"The new shirts the players wear in the official videos look like they’re made for midgets, Fullkrug is almost showing his belly button ,even Summerville keeps pulling his down when surely it should be almost dragging on the floor. New fashion? Crop tops next? Sort it ahht."

"Agree with Sydney about Soucek’s attitude, it can’t be faulted but his lack of control is glaring, there was a game last season where the ball got fired across the box waiting for the box crasher to tap in at the far post, Tommy made contact but missed the goal when easier to score, he got so annoyed with himself he went to kick the post…… missed that too. Hopeful that we’re building much much better."

"See Soucek could be a target for Mourinho in Turkey? Be good if we can get some coin for him, has his critics on here but can't fault his attitude if his ability at times was a bit shabby! Some crucial goals so if he goes, its thanks and wish him all the best. Zouma off to Saudi as well would be good, get the wages off the books even if no fee, shame his knees have gone, but again all the best to him, and the Cats of London can breathe a sigh of relief as well.......... Have not seen anything about Aguerd being linked to a move? So either missed it or its Bollocks, hope he stays TBH, bit patchy at times but reckon the new boss can get more from him. COYI"

"Football Espana West Ham United to submit opening offer for Girona talent Girona have already lost the likes of Artem Dovbyk, Aleix Garcia and Savio from last season’s squad that qualified for the Champions League, and a significant squad overhaul has taken place as a result. More departures could be on the way, if reports are to be believed. West Ham tried to sign Garcia before he opted for Bayer Leverkusen, and they’ve now returned to the bidding for another Girona star: Arnau Martinez. MD say that contact has already taken place between The Hammers and the young defender’s representatives, with an opening offer – fee unknown – likely to be sent to the Catalan club in the coming days. Girona could be in a tricky situation with Arnau. His contract ends in 2025, and he’s coming off a season where he was of little importance to head coach Michel Sanchez. He’s likely to be a starter for West Ham if he were to make the move to London – something that is not guaranteed at Montilivi. For now, Arnau continues to give priority to Girona, who are yet to open contract talks with the 21-year-old. However, if there’s no progress in the coming weeks, a way out could end up being sought."

I've seen Sergi Roberto play loads of times. Always struck me as the equivalent of Phil Neville at Man Utd. Nowhere near the standard of his team mates but a decent jack of all trades who can play multiple positions. He'd be probably the slowest full back in the league if we played him at RB. If we didn't already have a glut of CMs he might be worth having around but as a first choice RB it would be a disaster of a signing.

"The Ings deal appears to be on the edge of money laundering, where a player gets an unfeasibly large salary but is required to deposit some of it into an account of which he has no ability to draw down. At West Ham??? Nah! Not possible, let alone probable."

"More fool us for signing Ings and paying him £125k pw. Far better, for him, to get paid that money to sit on our bench than sit on someone else's bench and be paid less."

"I've no issue in getting in ageing players for a couple of years, so long is the club's plan is for them to accept that they will be replaced by/mentoring academy recruits over the latter part of their contract."
