Stowie Spot on... if Moyes was here we'd still be chasing Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay and got neither over the line yet.. theres a week till the start of the season and our incoming business is pretty much done. Just need to offload Soucek and Zouma and we're good to go.
"Our best window was 15/16, we signed some guff that window no doubt but it tops the lot simply cos we got Payet who along with Rice is the best player the club has had for 20 years. Ex fella thinks we’re gonna get Soler from PSG, surely Soucek & JWP are off at this rate if that was to happen, be well stacked in the midfield area. I think Aguerd will still go."
"Without meaning to turn this into a Moyes bashing session, although there was a lull in this window, had anyone noticed how quickly we are moving and getting deals done? Things seem alot easier when you have a coach and a Tech Director who get on and are both rowing in the same direction."
"Mr Anon 11:33 Sun Aug 11 Yeah, I see that. Marseille are in for Eddie Nketiah with a loan for this season and obligation to buy for £25m. I wonder if that's worth a punt. I always thought he looked decent and my Gooner pals say he is decent but just not got enough chances."
"Nutsin 1:47 Sun Aug 11 Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread Billy boy, I always get behind the team. I’m hoping that we can finally have a match thread without all the West Ham hate for once. You really are clueless. bit rich coming from the guy the fouls up every thread with his petty agendas, little weasel"
"This is turning out to be a superb window. Some real quality being brought in and the squad now looks like it resembles that of a club with ambition. I do agree with some on here that this window is making up for previous poor windows, but you still have to give the club credit where its due. Like Rodriguez, Todibo came right of the blue and again shows what Tim brings to the table. He has capitalised on Juve's lingering and go the job done right under their noses. I have added JCT and Zouma to the ins and outs. And so when you look our business has been done to the tune of a net spend of £60m. Absolutely insanely decent business but more importantly does seem sensible and and sustainable. Luis Guilherme (RW | £19.4m from Palmeiras) Andy Irving (CM | end of loan at Austria Klagenfurt) Wes Foderingham (GK | free transfer from Sheff United) Max Kilman (CB | £40m from Wolves) Crysencio Summerville (LW | £24m from Leeds) Niclas Fullkrug (Striker | £27m from Borussia Dortmund) Guido Rodriguez (DM | free transfer from Real Betis) Jean-Claire Todibo (Loan to buy from Lyon) Total spend: £100.4m West Ham confirmed transfers out - summer 2024 Thilo Kehrer (CB | £9.3m from Monaco) Kalvin Phillips (DM | end of loan from Manchester City) Angelo Ogbonna (CB | end of contract) Joseph Anang (GK | free transfer to St Patrick's) Said Benrahma (LW | £12.2m to Lyon) Nathan Trott (GK | £1.3m to FC Copenhagen) Ben Johnson (RB | free transfer to Ipswich Town) Divin Mubama (CF | end of contract) Michael Forbes (CB | loan to Bristol Rovers) Flynn Downes (CM | £18m to Southampton) Levi Laing (CB | loan to Cheltenham Town) Zouma CB (loan and free transfer to Saudi) Total income: £40.8m The money for JCT will be payable from next seasons budget and the hope would be that adding so much quality now will mean we don't need to add too much next season, unless of course we sell a big player but then you have the money to do that. If we do add AWB (which is now almost assured as Man Utd have agreed deals with Mazaroui and De Ligt) our net spend will be £75m. Again, for the depth and quality of players brought in that is insane. Considering Spurs have just spent £65m on Solanke. Down the pub last night a gooner mate of mine said ""your mob are spending a bit of dosh"". But when you look at it we aren't going too mental. Its all very sensible and sustainable in my eyes. On another note about expectation. There is no doubt that when you analyse the squad and pick the best eleven, there is definitely an expectation that we should qualify for Europa League as a minimum. I like the way the new manager has put his neck on the line and got these players and almost brought that expectation on himself. Moyes was always one to dampen expectation. Lope obviously has enough confidence in his own ability to do things well with the right players. The club have backed him. All very promising."
It’s a bit sad but I’ve spent a few mins of my Saturday night looking at our transfer history 05/06 was a good year too (Pards) Ashton Benatoun Fingers and Gabbidon Scaloni Shaka And Paul Konchesky

"Thought this was quite a good insight to how we may play next season, from a non West Ham fan. Why The Premier League Should FEAR West Ham. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kasraPvLJOA"
"I think this window shows the club have been frugal /sensible past few years. Despite some big spend ups. I think wages have been controlled on the whole and we look to be in decent shape financially, hope that’s still the case after this spend up too. Also I think it might be one of the best transfer periods in my lifetime as a West Ham fan, certainly for a long while. Maybe since the Harrison Kinson winter window that kept us up?? February 97"

Nutsack No sensible response as usual ... whats the matter now? You realising the error of your ways at last... Maybe you should just get behind the team like the rest of us eh?
"I think this window has been breathtaking. What a formidable job the club have done. Can't wait to se the new XI in proper action, even if it will take some time to gel the .Angers ideas into the new squad. Onwards and upwards"
Just ignore COYI he's clearly either completely deluded or on a wind up... The rest of us realise that this has been one of the best windows weve ever had... Id like COYI to describe a better one.
"AWB medical on Sunday, 5 year deal for £15m Man Utd have paid him off as desperate to get the Bayern deals for the Moroccan right back (guess they are giving the agent his £5m) & DeLigt done DeLigt was promising at Ajax which got him moves to Juventus & then Bayern. Failed at both & kept out of Bayerns team by Eric Dier"
