"Yes we have a tremendous track record with youth players at West Ham, just look at all the players that have broken through into the first team from the youth ranks, Um, there's, well, um.... We even spend £27m on a Brazilian, supposed wonder kid, in Guilherme and he didn't even make the squad for the first game despite having a full pre-season. Still hope this is the exception that proves the rule and he does go on to be a great player for us. I will not however hold my breath"

If anyone is interested he is the Blue No. 8 in this youth game. Obviously a long way off featuring in the PL but the standard of football at this youth level is quite impressive I thought. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Prw0mPP6Dik

The 18-year-old is highly rated in France and he has a bright future ahead of himself. He could be a quality long-term prospect for West Ham. Let's hope so Alan. From a quick google search it doesn't look as if he has even played for the Paris FC first team yet in Ligue 2 so hopefully that will change this season and he will feature.

"West Ham close in on the capture of 18-year-old prodigy, medical underway West Ham United are closing in on the capture of Mohamadou Kante this summer. The Paris FC midfielder is set to join the Premier League club on a five-year contract. According to a report from the Athletic, the player is already having a medical at West Ham right now and he will sign a long-term deal with them. However, the 18-year-old midfielder is unlikely to play in the Premier League this season and he will return to Paris FC on loan so that he can continue his development with regular first-team action. The midfielder was reportedly in talks with Paris FC regarding a contract extension, but the two parties failed to secure an agreement. It seems that the Hammers have swooped in and taken advantage of the situation situation. The 18-year-old is highly rated in France and he has a bright future ahead of himself. He could be a quality long-term prospect for West Ham."

"Fwiw, I quite like Noble, more so now he has stopped playing, on the 'Mark' thread below I alluded to this just the other day commenting that I'm pleased he is still at the club. Sydney is thick, to quote what I said below ''Not sure why you find it strange that some think they can see right through Noble, for what they think he is''....this is based on some accusing him of not speaking up for the fans and just being a board puppet, grappling with that fan on the pitch, and only staying with us throughout his playing career because nobody else wanted him. Anyway, one thing Sydney was correct on is that this is a transfer thread.."

"Anyone knocking Noble imho is not a West Ham fan. Yes you can say he was not the most talented player that played for the club but he gave 100%,was a leader, gave more than his time to the club. I Recall the 2015-16 ,probably his best. Playing with Payet and Lanzini was his dream. it brought out the best in him and he should have earned an England cap on that form, especially considering some of the other players that earned caps in that period. He may have struggled in his last year or so but others did too. I'll have fond memories of seeing him start his career and being a 1 club man. What more do you ask for ?"

"Just having a laugh more than anything after Noble was compared to this Solar fella, not sure if he is or not, know fuck all about him really, Solar that is not Noble! From your comments you're not a Noble fan, being able to see right through him and all? From my perspective Noble lived and is still living the dream, played for West Ham, captained the club and now works for the club, think most would give their right arm to have done that. Maybe for the some (subconsciously at least) the envy is too much so try and take him down a few pegs. End of the day, none of us really now Noble that well, but seems players, managers and coaches past and present have lot of time for him, but who knows underneath it all he maybe what some people on here say, but i doubt it personally. This is the transfer thread, not the debate about Mark Noble thread, not that we have one or need one. LOL I will shut the fuck up now. As you where."

"You were the one that brought it up about what some think about Noble, so clearly it's in your head, at best. Not sure why you find it strange that some think they can see right through Noble, for what they think he is, and maybe see your dizzy view of him as very gullible?"

"Its all about opinions Manuel as you rightly say! But you just given me yours as well about me ""worshiping"" Noble, FFS a bit hypocritical isnt it! Can only i assume by this that my posts wind you up? LOL Not sure those who slag Noble wind me up, do find it strange but no more than that, this is the internet after all, said it a few times, anyone who takes it too seriously should maybe at the very least log out of WHO.........."

"I'd say it's clear now we need some out before buying more players, hence why nobody else has come in. Sydney - You think the sun shines out of Noble's ring piece, fine, your opinion, but not sure why it winds you up so much, as it clearly does, that some think Noble is as you have quoted. Nobody is digging you out for worshipping the bloke."

"""Carlos Soler would be a solid addition. He was Valencia's best player by far before PSG signed him. If nobody has seen him play I would say he is a bit like Mark Noble"" Not against this bloke but really think we should shift some players especially midfield before buying any more, all getting a bit Chelsea like? How does he fit anyway, looking like Jimmy is back up as well, no one mentions him as a potential starter i notice? Seriously, the boy is maybe the best signing IMO Solar being compared to Noble won't do him any favours either, according to some on WHO, Noble was always to slow and shit, as well as being a Charleton and a board and Sullivan lacky and arse licker who should be known as Mr ""not"" West Ham. LOL."

"eusebiovic 12:16 Tue Aug 20 W Bissaka Todibo Kilman Emerson Soler Alvarez Paqueta Bowen Füllkrug Kudus That side looks a pretty mouthwatering proportion to me'' Nah, not to me. Yes, three new defenders who should def make us better defensively, but then you have two plodders in Soler and Fullkrug and the rest is the same. It will also probably be the slowest midfield in the PL, how would we get up the pitch? Long ball? So I won't be salivating just yet."

The club vice captain who has just been given a 12 month contract extension is obviously going nowhere. Which is a shame

"We ain't shifting all of them, besides Loppy has already said he wants 2 players for each position so can't see us selling Cresswell & Coufal. I thought we may have had a few sales lined up considering how many players we have signed but the only one who looks or looked close was Zouma. We currently have one too many CBs and have little use for Cornet, if we sign Solar then we are probably overstocked in the middle too but he seems to like Soucek and I can't see JWP leaving either so loans for the 2 youngsters and Irving. Ings & Antonio have featured already so unless we sign another striker they will stay imho. Be happy if we can just shift Zouma & Cornet.though Aguerd was suspiciously absent from the squad Saturday so fuck knows. If we sign Solar we'll have a squad of 30 so we have to shift a few somehow. I"

We can’t let Antonio and Ings go without getting another striker in.
