Rather we were developing our players than helping Chelsea offload I see Scarles scored twice presumably as a left wing back in the u21’s 5-1 win v Southampton on Friday

"goose - yes, I agree that we have fucked up in some cases by giving long contracts on high wages to certain players. But for me, it's not about honouring a contract - it's about whether they want to play football. It's about whether Ings would rather stay at West Ham, where he is barely going to feature while continuing to earn a massive wage, rather than taking a pay cut and getting regular football at a lesser side. It's about what that says about him as a person."

Think I read somewhere that he was on the list they wanted out. Got a feeling there could be some bargains coming out of there with Chelsea subsidising a lot of wages. Maybe a few loans.

"So on the menu today are Soler, Nelson and Sterling (with Chelsea’s help). Zouma out with Cornet being left out of the squad. That’s a good squad with the massive problem being left back with the step down in quality to cresswell."

"Our signings last season were made to ensure we did not finish in the bottom half of the league, let alone avoid relegation. They had a different set of requirements to meet. This season, the push is clearly to get back into Europe and so a different set of criteria apply to our signings. If you have a problem understanding that, think about the difference between maintaining a cash-flow and turning in a profit; if your cash-flow is fucked, you can forget about survival, let alone making a profit."

SOH - don’t you think Lope has had enough time to get the key players for defence and attack before the first game? We even need a left back when Emerson gets injured.

"To answer your rhetorical question, RM10, no we haven't What we done is signed a 31 year old, slow, immobile plodder who had never played outside of Germany in his career. And, to add insult to injury, laid out TWENTY SEVEN MILLION for the plodder. An absolutely insane signing. Even more so when he joins 35 year old Antonio and 32 year old slow and plodding Ings in the striker options. 'Guru Tim' and 'Loser Lop' have really dropped a clanger with this joke signing. Relegation battle ahead."

the exile - why should they just 'fuck off'?? we gave them a contract on those wages so it's our fault. we're quick enough to complain when players don't honour a contract and want to move one -it works both ways.

"It pisses me off massively that players like Ings and Aguerd (if true, of course) think they can hang on to their bloated salaries. Basically they have failed at this club and need to get real, swallow their pride and accept the fact that if they want to play football they're going to have to move to a lesser club and/or a lesser league. Fuck off out of West Ham!"

"Eerie Descent 12:56 Fri Aug 23 Current Czech player of the year (and winner 4 times in the past 5 years) and current National captain. I think you'll find quite a few clubs would be interested. None in the top 6 of any of the top 5 leagues though, granted. The problem again will be wages because I can't imagine his were reduced when we extended his deal last year"

"COYI. JWP was a Moyes signing. Mavrapanos is pretty sellable but it appears we would rather sell Zouma & Aguerd as he started ahead of both last week. As for the new signings none of them can be judged at this stage, you are either a comedy account or an idiot."

"Exactly Gaffer58, the Fullkrug signing is insane. Even more so when you factor in the fact we spunk £27 MILLION on the aging kraut carthorse. Cheers 'guru Tim' and 'Loser Lop'. They have really done a number on us with that one. Relegation battle ahead."

"The jockosaurus Moyes isn't solely to blame for the deadwood we can't shift. 'Guru Tim' came in last summer and we signed the absolute duds in Mavrapanos and Ward-Prowse, who we will now struggle to shift. Of the four signings we made last summer, two are duds and surplus to requirements. Hardly the work of some transfer 'guru'. I would add Wan-Bissaka, Fullkrug, Rodriquez and Kilman to the dud signings made by 'guru Tim', this lime in collaboration with 'loser Lop'."

Moyes’ inept transfer dealings has left its mark … Wasted well over 150 million …and still left a slow old unbalanced squad with poor defense and low scoring attack… Glad he’s gone…
