"Of course he doesn't have to match his numbers, he needs to contribute to the fluidity of our play, enabling us to move forward better. Not take every fucking set piece"

"I think that’s an awful deal for JWP, he isn’t the greatest but this kid from psg needs to match his numbers at least, not in favour of a proven prem player going on loan for a import who might not settle straight away."

"Happy to see JWP go, yes he's a good pro and can be useful, but I don't think he will be a miss, obviously Soucek is staying and Soler comes in to replace JWP. Just hope we can ship Ings out."

"It's indicative of the quality of the squad that Moyes left that currently all three possible outgoings today - in Zouma, Ward-Prowse and Cornet - are loans. No one wants to actually buy our crap"

I think it's been a decent window but Fullkrug looks miles off premier league level so far. Fingers crossed he can get better service (Soler?) and gets up to speed. Was frustrating Bournemouth just had to hit a pass in behind us and they had enough pace to have 2-3 big chances and we don't have the same option. JWP out on loan without an option is a weird one unless it means Soler is definitely on his way

"""Up top is the biggest issue and we haven’t addressed it again"" That's why I don't think I'd be as generous as others when scoring how well we've done this window. It's the single most obvious area we've needed strengthening and I've forgotten how many transfer windows have passed that we haven't solved it. And the owner must know this, the manager must know this and the Technical Director must know this."

For me until we see the new players integrated it’s a 6/10. At the moment I feel we are shoehorning Soucek in and this is affecting the flow in the midfield which dominoes onto the front line.

"Up top is the biggest issue and we haven’t addressed it again, been a decent enough window but thats a bit of blotch not getting a quick forward in. I wouldn’t let JWP go either, I’m quite shocked the manager values Soucek over him."

"If we could get Duran or similar it would elevate it to 9/10 Fullkrug then becomes a better signing, but by himself is a massive meh for me. Duran was our number one target and a completely different profile, and that was what we needed"

"I would be a tad more generous and give the window a 7 out of 10. Out of the 8, the early successes appear to be ( in order ): Wan Bassaka Kilman Rodriguez The ones that I see glimpses of promise and will potentially go into the top group are ( again in order): Todibo ( think he might top the lot eventually ) Summerville The worrying ones or those looking unlikely to help this season currently Fullkrug Guilermhe ( not ready ) Fodderingham Ok, the last one is an anomaly really as he’s meant to be back up and 3rd choice. We need a creative midfielder and mobile, powerful striker as priorities to make it a 9 out of 10. Left back and better right back cover for 10 / 10. *** disclaimer - as always IMHO ***. :-)"

"Realistically we were never going to re-build the squad and fix all the problems in one window. Like others have said, some good signings at the back and some underwhelming ones (so far) in other positions. 6/10 window, but I'd be very happy to be proved wrong. It's now up to the manager to make it work."

It's a stark contrast to many thinking we were having a 9 or 10/10 transfer window only a couple of weeks ago.

Agree with that goose other than with 15 hours of the window to go it's a max 6/10 for me. Pleasant surprises today and could rise to an 8

"I think we need to give Fulkrug a bit of time. He's a decent player. We arent creating anything for him and just hoofing the ball up the pitch isnt helping. Antonio is always hit and miss and the work rate has gone. He chooses to fall on the floor rather than use his strength these days. He does have desire to prove people wrong but age has caught up. I thought we looked better with Bowen up top. Much more mobile, closing down and let's us utilise Mo on the right and bring in Summerville on the left. We have to get a grip in central midfield though so good options are needed. No idea if Soler is the one or not but some pace, physicality and comfortable running with the ball."

"Looks like Zouma & Cornet will be out the door, possibly Aguerd as well. 7/10 transfer window for me unless something changes massively. We still haven’t addressed the CF issues properly, and we still look like we’re missing a trick in the centre of the pitch. Maybe Soler will fix that?"

What is it about West Ham and strikers… Ok…blame Moyes’ crap decisions… But why have we still not got a proper quality striker in under Steidten…???

"Jacket - I think most didn't want Abraham, but look what we are left with up top now, a couple of old, slow blokes. This window hasn't been that great after all, yes two good additions at the back and the water carrier might be decent, but it's looking like mid-table for us. Hopefully we'll get a surprise today. At least Cornet and Zouma are going out, hopefully Ings as well. Fancy JWP will end up staying and suspect Soler will arrive. Who knows with Aguerd, apparently he turned Wolves down and doesn't want to play in the desert."

"Thankfully looks like Abraham is going elsewhere. He wanted big wages and would be a big risk. Like to see us shift Zouma, Aguerd and Cornet. Ings has always worked hard in games but just doesnt seem suited. I can see Bowen being used as a striker. We have players for the wide areas. Another decent centre back and a central midfielder and it's been a good window. Although not every player who comes to the Premier league settles or succeeds, I think Todibo will work out and Guillerme has plenty of time to but it's a huge change for him and he needs time to adapt and get comfortable in a new country. Be amazed if we dont shift some players to save on wages."

"So, we have a 31 year old no pace striker and a 34 year old can’t shoot striker. Tim?"
