"Takashi Miike 3:38 Fri Oct 20 Noooo. He and Ricky are my favourites, closely followed by Bubbles and J ""irri-irri"" Rock. I won't say RIP, as it's only fitting to lovingly say ""FUCK YOU, LAHEY!"""

"Takashi Miike 8:56 Thu Oct 19 It is absolutely fucking excellent. Considering how simple the concept is, and repetitive, in some aspects, it works so well, all the way up to the latest seasons. It really helps if you like a reefer (not a must, but it helps), and like to get drunk and fucked up, (likewise), and you know and love some proper criminal underclass types. It was underground for so many years, I thought it was a conspiracy that it wasn't on BBC, or NRK (norways BBC). Well done Netflix for picking it up."

"Almost finished Narcos 3. A series without the great actor playing Pablo was always going to be a challenge, but N3 has been superb."

Been watching Madame Secretary over the last couple of weeks and just finished series one. It's a bit formulaic but well worth watching if only for Tea LeonI who is very easy on the eye.

"Ray Donovan started going downhill last series. David Hollander (writer/producer) said they wanted to change things up a bit and break new ground, making it more emotional. Personally I think they've ruined it, for me anyway, and I doubt I'll be watching next season."

"Just watched Liar, all six episodes Pretty decent series. froggatt is excellent in it, but the advertised premise that suggests an extended exploration of two views of a sexual encounter that one views as rape and the other consensual spread over the series isn't quite what you get And ioan gruffudd and his missus can try to blame Weinstein all they want for him not getting roles, but I'd argue the main reason is that he's a really shit actor. Facially he's ok, his expressions are fine but verbally he's awful. Even in his natural voice"

"Takashi Miike 12:30 Fri Oct 13 Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls watched a couple of the new jack whitehall travel thing, not great suburra tv series now on Netflix, much like the film and very good Suburra the film is brilliant but i watched about 10 minutes of the series and turned it off. The English dubbing is awful, should have kept it to being sub titles. It makes it comical, the voices dont even match the characters"
