Sydney you can watch Netflix shows in their original language with English subtitles. I watched both series of Suburra with subtitles. I also would recommend Fauda the Israeli series on Netflix about an undercover group. If you like something light the French series Call My Agent is good fun also on Netflix. I cannot watch anything dubbed it drives me mad.

"Bit late to the party on this one, but Succession S1 is superb (so far). I hear S2 is even better. Not seen so many bastards in one place since the Jon Snow/Ramsay Bolton face off."

Just finished watching The Spy on Netflix. True story and some great acting from Sacha Baron Cohen. Unbelievably brave to have been in them circles. Recommended.

"Going to give this Dont fuck with Cats thing a go. Over Christmas and New Year been watching Suburra: Blood on Rome, not sure if its been mentioned on here before? Watched it on the strength of it of being compared to Gomorrah, not on par with that show unfortunately but it is ok to be fair and would reccomend, watched both series 1 and 2 in quick succession, hard going at first and the fact its dubbed with cheesy American accents doesn’t help IMO, would have been better if left in Italian and sub titles. A series 3 in the making."

"Me and the missus are quite enjoying Mad Men. Fuck me , they could smoke back in the 60's, so much so I can almost taste it after each episode..."

"If you want an easy watch with the wife without the usual mixture of violence and gratuitous sex and bad language (I know...bland) then The Marvellous Mrs Maisel on Amazon is actually pretty good, has some decent characters, and amusing along the way."

Cobra Kai is brilliant. Just binged the first two seasons. Can’t wait for the 3rd.

"Hi Mart. Pride & Prej is on there (BBC version, Colin Firgh as Mr Darcy - I can't get past the fact his voice is identical to Arthur Lowe's, but each girl to their own) Emma. More Jane Austen. Johnny Lee Miller is marvellous as Mr Knightley. North and South. Elizabeth Gaskell. Daniella Westbrook hopelessly miscast, but with watching if only for the brilliant Sinéad Cusack as the mother in law from hell. Daniel Deronda. George Eliot. Parade's End Poldark Alias Grace (Margaret Atwood period drama) Dickensian (very clever idea) Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries. Set in the 1920s in Australia. Nice bit of fun. Very beautiful costumes. Do NOT, under any circumstances, recommend 'War and Peace'. It was utter garbage. Really boring story and unengaging characters. I've never read the book. Maybe it's just a shit book. Not all the 'classics' live up to their rep."

"I watched Sticks and Stones, some itv 3 parter thing. Nothing special, but it’s about a bloke been bullied in his office. Watching the cunts he works with break him down was infuriating, had to bin off the last 20 minutes and let my missus tell me how it ended."
