If you are into your music then Treme is a must. I think its about 3-4 years old but on Sky Box set (its free to download). Its centered around the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and the devistation it caused and how the community in New Orleans coped. It features some amazing musicians and cameo performances. Superb viewing.
