Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
"Just finished The Killing liked it a lot but not really the last season as much. Breaking Bad, Homeland done Was going to do Luther or The Wire next - can you tell me which one is best of the two?"
Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
"I’m sticking with it but was maybe expecting to much with the way it’s raved about. The bloke who plays Genny gets on my tits as well. I preferred Narcos, thought the bloke who played Escobar was superb."

"Gomorrah is a great series and the fact you have to read the subtitles means you give it 100% attention, unlike some series when there is loads of dialogue it's easy to get distracted."

"The Sopranos , Breaking Bad and the Wire take some beating....all masterpieces but very different. And GOT for a full on binge watch if you like that sort of thing. More recently ... Gomorrah, Narcos , Better Call Saul , Ozark are all brilliant series. Not quite up to that standard but very good nevertheless imo Justified , Banshee, Bosch, Deadwood. For comedy series Entourage Curb your Enthusiasm , Fleabag well worth a watch. The Ricky Gervais series After Life very good too. I liked White Gold , the comedy about 1980s Essex double glazing salesman, very funny. And if you’ve not seen Tiger Joe watch it. Redneck America at its best and worst , insane real life characters."

"Stowie.40 2:51 Mon Apr 27 Gomorrah not a patch on Narcos??? dont get me wrong i enjoyed Narcos, but Gomorrah is in a different league IMO. Suburra Blood on Rome is in a similar vein and i enjoyed that as well, maybe on par with Narcos, but still well behind Genny, Ciro and Don Peitro."

"I’m into season 2 of Gomorrah, mate of mine raves about it for ages. I’m struggling to see the massive appeal with it. It’s ok but for me not a patch on Narcos."

"I totally agree Ray, Zerozerozero was immense. Anyone who liked Gomorrah should get stuck into it as it's from the same writers with a bigger budget. Best TV I've seen in ages."

"This might be difficult for those who don't have access to Sky although the first three seasons may be on Amazon or Netflix, but Gomorrah is one of the best series I've watched Late to the party as my son forced me to watch Breaking Bad and have to say I'm glad his persistence paid off, halfway through season 5 and still have the movie and Better Call Saul to come For those that like the fly on the wall stuff, the Sunderland documentary is brilliant, if you think we're run like a basket case this lot take the biscuit, you're never sure whether to laugh or cry"
