"I agree with manuel. stick with it as mike improves it when he returns, I also agree about the main character being unlikable but I also felt the same way about his brother, though it's probably because of how good the actor is playing him."

"ted - I watched it just recently after finally watching BB last year. I think many have a similar opinion that it's decent but nowhere near as good as BB (but what is?) It's a bit slow moving at first but does get better when Mike, Salamanca, his 2 nephews and Gus come into it, so you learn more about their characters before BB, IMO for that reason alone it is worth watching. The biggest dislike I had is that the Saul's character is an absolute prick most of the time and usually very annoying, so you might have to overcome that. His elder brother, a top lawyer, is in it a lot who is a good character. Season 6 is going to be the last one, probably out next year."

So after watching a couple of episodes of Better Call Saul after Breaking Bad we gave up on it but we're going to take advice and give it another go. Any thoughts ?

What do you do next after finishing the Sopranos? I suggest going back to the beginning and starting again. Maybe give yourself a mini series as a small break first.

Billions was turd. Half decent idea for a plot which got weaker and weaker Just watched Sinner 3 and then watched Reckoning. Reckoning has to be the worst thing I’ve ever bothered with. Stopped watching Designated Survivor when the gay black bloke was taking a length up his arse. Is that something someone woke like Swiss would revel in Agree with Trunds about the miserable Homeland

Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
Yeah Homeland after season 3 was pretty shit. Peter Quinn character saved it a bit. Good English actor Rupert Friend. Claire Danes just does your head in after a while.

crystal falace 10:12 Fri Jul 3 Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls Season 1 oh homeland is one of the best single seasons of tv i've ever seen. Unfortunately after season 2 it rapidly declines and is one of the very few tv shows i actually gave up on and stopped watching around season 4. Totally agree CF Season one was indeed superb ! the rest was a bit of a let down.

"Shouldn't really admit this but I just caught up with the Christmas specials of Worzel Gummage on iplayer. Written, directed and staring Mackenzie Crook it's got that feeling of a little slice of England's countryside in the sun, very much like Detectorists, one of my favourite shows ever. Loads of cameos from famous celebrities too. It's mainly something for you to watch with your kids but I pissed myself laughing at some of it. For instance, Worzel needs the help of his arch enemies, the crows, to get all the plastic bags from the tree of tree (which knows everything there has ever been to know, now in Morrisons car-park). He asks what they want in exchange for helping him? 'Squark, squark squark'. 'What do they want Worzel?' 'Cash. And guns. I'm not giving you that, how about a bag of grain?' 'Squark, squark squark'. 'No, just a bag of grain. No chainsaw. Chancers'. You can find them on iplayer by searching 'the scarecrow of Scatterbridge',"

"Yeah, don't watch past season 1. The rest of the series is Claire Danes crying and having a mental breakdown pretty much every episode."
