"Just watched 'the looming tower', was pretty good - Jeff Daniels is in it so it generally cant be bad. Finished the night manager. Not as good as some reviews in my opinion, but I always think Hugh Laurie is limited and the lead bloke is a bit wooden."

"Giri/Haji on Netflix is quite good and worth a watch, think it was made for BBC2. Although the bumming scene is a bit odd, not sure how it fits in or why they did it? mind you if it was made by the BBC, obviously to help the cause and make such things ok, its full on as well, one bloke pumping the other..."

Iron Duke 9:47 Fri Dec 11 Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls Raised By Wiolves looks good so far. Produced by Ridley Scott. Really enjhoyable... 7 episodes in... bit quirky and bullshit in parts but very very watchable... the actress who plays `mother' is quite superb.

"Watching The Nordic Murders Perplexed by the English title, as it's about murder cases on the Polish-German border, and collaboration (and sex) between the Police forces on either side. Neither Poland, nor Germany usually count as ""Nordic""."

"Nurse Ratched 8:18 Fri Dec 11 Of course you're right Nurse - God it's a bastard getting old. Having said that - I love KH and think Parker was a bit unkind - hey 4, Oscars and 8 further nominations ain't bad. I thinks someone later plagiarised it to describe Gregory Peck, which I think is more appropriate. As for box sets, at the risk of repeating myself ""Justified"". iIf I've watched the complete set 50 times I'm probably low. If anybody hasn't yet seen it, it's your loss. Peace"
