"Up to the end of series 3 with Line of Duty. Of course it is good, but I wouldn't class it as real top draw, and is a little repetitive, will have a break before the 4th series. Glad Dot is out of it, fucking vile cսnt. I note they never use the term 'the nick' but I suppose that's all a bit 80's, Regan, Burnside, etc. Gonna watch this 'Spotless'."

"the house of freaks 12:00 Sat Jan 16 Not at all, mate. Schitt's Creek is one of the most critically acclaimed tv comedies in recent years, has won a schitt load of awards and has achieved cult status. It's written and produced by the main character, David, and his real-life dad playing his dad."

"One series I found disappointing was Rebecka Martinsson: Arctic Murders. The books it's based on, by √Ösa Larsson, are supposed to be very good, winning prizes and stuff. If they are, the series isn't a very good ad for them. Second series just out on Walter Presents."

"Monster was quite enjoyable, despite being a Norwegian self-accusation. I thought The Other Mother was the best of the fairly recent series. There have been other highlights, but they're further back in time, and my memory's not co-operating... I've also been watching the inaccurately named Nordic Murders (it's set on the German-Polish border), but I can only half-recommend it - it's watchable, but not much more. And more importantly, Channel 4 seems to have stopped showing it 5 episodes into a longer series, and the online offering stops there, too. Although the episodes are semi-self-contained, there are also back stories which have been left hanging."

Probably not everyone’s cup of tea but the missus and I are enjoying Schitts Creek at the moment. 20 odd minute episodes so you burn through it but laugh out loud episode. Maybe Covid madness though

"Can you give us any good recommendations from Walter Presents? Very hard to find many reviews of these series and quite a few of the ones I've seen just aren't very good, no matter what that annoyingly smug Walter bloke says about them."

"Watching Monster on Channel 4's Walter Presents. For some reason, it's difficult to comprehend what, the Norwegian producers seem determined to make Norwegians seem completely mad. Or maybe it's Southern Norwegians (if that isn't an oxymoron) who want to depict Northern Norwegians as nutters. Literally no major character, seems sane, and that goes for most of the minor ones too. Munch's Scream seems just around the corner."

Not a box set but I'm just watching all three episodes of The Pembrokeshire Murders done by ITV. Very compelling. All should be on ITV hub.

"Nagal - Canal + were one of the financiers, yes, but it was the first original program for the Esquire Network which folded 3 years back. That's probably the reason that there was no Season 2."

"Alfs 2:33 Wed Jan 13 ""It was made by an obscure cable channel in 2015 so totally went under the radar. Hopefully, Netflix will resurrect it."" It was made by Canal+, one of the biggest French TV channels, who also produce a lot of Hollywood films, like David Lynch's. Netflix have been broadcasting Spotless since 2016, when I saw it. I can't even remember whether I stuck with it. I think it was pretty mediocre."

"Not sure if its been mentioned but Caliphate on Netflix, think its a Swedish production was a lot better than i expected, well worth watching in fact. Some of the acting is bit sus at times, but think a lot of that is down to the dubbing into English which is a bit cheesy, but a good story line and gets you wanting to watch the next episode right away. 8/10"

"I've watched the first two eps of a little known show called 'Spotless'. It's excellent so far and many of the reviews compared it to Breaking Bad (which I didn't get on with) with many saying it's better. It was made by an obscure cable channel in 2015 so totally went under the radar. Hopefully, Netflix will resurrect it. Check it out, you'll be hooked after 5 minutes."
