"I got the pox with Gomorrah in the end, mate of mine absolutely raved about it, thought it was average at best. Bloke who played Genny got on my tits as well. Zerozerozero looks good 2 episodes in."

"Halfway through latest series of Suburra at the moment. Actually prefer it to Gomorrah tbh, less predictable (Gomorrah ended up being.. any new character on screen for more than 5 minutes will be killed by the end of the episode) Zerozerozero is next Not a boxset but defo recommend Mosul on Netflix. Arab with English subs, think it was made in Qater."

3% on Netflix is quite good if you're into your Brazilian future dystopia-type drama.

"Saw Zerozerozero about a year ago and it's fucking great. Amalfi Mafia, psycho Mexican special forces, African gangs and the Taliban. How could you not like it? It's great storytelling too as every episode begins with the last scene and the rest is the story of how they got to that point. As you say, it's top class telly."
Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
Episode 5 of Gangs of London is basically a stand alone movie. It's way better than the rest of the series and has very little to do with it plot wise. I think it's only one of two episodes that Gareth Evans actually directed and it shows. Worth watching on its own even if you give the other episodes a miss.

I did a binge watch of the Gangs of London. I completely missed it when it came out as I thought it would be normal London Gangland nonsense then I noticed it was made by Gareth Evens ( The Raid films) FUCKING HELL Episode 5 is just Violence Opera. Brilliantly bonkers stuff. Really enjoyed it.

"happygilmore 12:34 Thu Jan 28 Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls has anyone manged to stream esp 8 of Your Honor yet? It's available on ""The Crew"" Happy."
Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
"I'm up to ep 8 with Your Honor. As Manuel says, it's okay but certainly not a classic. Because there is so may minutes to fill for Amazon, Netflix, Sky, etc, they're dragging out the storylines far too long. Unfortunately, quantity is becoming more important than quality."
Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
"Gomorrah is brilliant, the only drama that I think I've rewound a scene to make sure I saw what I saw, brutal. Still got L'immortale recorded so need to get that watched."

"A typical joke in Truth Seekers is: 'What happened to the last bloke you worked with'? 'He fucked off and joined ISIS'. 'Jesus, why did he do that'? 'I don't know. Why would you leave here and work for Ilford Storage and internet services '?"

"I've just finished Truth Seekers, the new series with big West Ham fan Nick Frost and Simon Pegg. Funny and a bit creepy and of course Malcolm McDowell steals every scene he's in. I really enjoyed it."
