"Quite a way into Red Election and it is very good and well made, very much in the vein of the spy series Spooks that ran for so long about 10 years ago, the only thing you cant help but notice is the obvious wokeness!! The MI5 team is mainly woman and black people with assorted ethnic types in support, the only white bloke “on the team” is a ginger bloke with a very Irish name. All the bad, stupid or dislikeable characters are white men! Suspect we are going to get more of this from any British made series especially if the BBC or channel 4/5 have anything to do with it………."

"Just finished the last in the series of Narcos, the 6th one and the 3rd set in Mexico. Thought they might be spinning it out like a lot of other series, but IMO the last one turned out to be the best. The kind of separate but intertwined story of the copper having pangs of guilt and then looking into the disappearances and deaths of girls in the area could’ve been a small series/film in itself and the acting and how his character unravels was brilliant. Shame there isn’t a 7th and 8th"

"Manuel 6:34 Fri Dec 10 Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls I think this season has been excellent. Genuinely, and I’m not being smart here. But why don’t you stop watching something you quite clearly don’t enjoy?"

"Bit off topic and obviously for men of a certain age but I've only just discovered Mortimer & Whitehouse - Gone Fishing (BBC iplayer). Absolutely fantastic, and I don't fish... watched all 25 episodes in the last 2-3 weeks. Very therapeutic and funny... just like spending a couple of hours down the boozer with mates."

Succession is now an absolute fucking borefest. Eight 1 hour episodes in this season and literally nothing has happened. It's fucking awful.

Last episode of Mr Mercedes tonight the first series was brilliant second not so good third and last series has been a bit far-fetched as in someone will get shot in the leg and a couple of days later they're carrying someone on their shoulder !! Apart from all that I would recommend it as it was given the heads up on this thread. What to watch next then ?

Miike - I just remember my mate getting me a ticket and me turning up! One of my mates drove and it took a couple of hours to find the car. Prodigy we’re brilliant and I was a huge Ocean Colour Scene fan back then too. FMC - I saw it on Sky Store and it said I had a free voucher via Sky VIP so I bought it using that! I think you can rent it for £2.99. Acquiesce sounded incredible live.

"Pagey, I was there too on the saturday. I thought the Prodigy stole the show, and agree the atmosphere was great. the only downside was having to get a train back to kings cross. I'll have a watch of that later"

I just watched the Oasis Knebworth 1996 documentary and it was a decent watch. I was lucky enough to get a ticket for the Saturday and definitely didn’t realise how fortunate I was at the time. It brought back some good memories and it was lovely to see not one mobile phone in sight! Just people enjoying the moment without feeling the need to film everything and upload it to show random strangers that they were there.

"American Rust on Sky Atlantic. Starring Jeff Daniels. only seen the first episode, and on the fence. Sky Atlantic have form for good quality shows, which is the reason I gave this a go. Interestingly, on Rotten tomatoes it has a vastly different rating between the critics and audience vote."

"I liked Succession at the beginning when it looked like the old man might croak and when they went to Scotland for the wedding and Kendall had that car episode, and Chiv was having affairs, etc, there seemed to be stuff going on then, but now nothing much seems to happen, imo anyway."
