"Slow Horses is a pretty good watch and reccomended, hopefully we will see a season 2. On Apple TV which otherwise is not great and not much on it TBH, this is about the best, Ted Lasso is ok though, bit silly but watchable and a couple of decent movies Greyhound was good, got a free 12 month subscription, but not sure I will be paying for it when it ends."

"Watched part 1 of the Gazza doc. Very good and gives great insight to the man. No wonder he's a bit fucked up, as a nine year old kid his best mate got run over in front of him, and died in his arms."

Starting watching Bosch Legacy. Ok so far. Maddie as a cop I could have done without . Top much of her and strange running action. Feels a bit low budget. Good to see Crate and Barrel reappear.

"Late to the party on this, but currently bingeing Billions. A few episodes into S5. Some very decent dialogue and mostly pretty entertaining so far. Thought it would be hard to stretch it out past 2 or 3 series but it’s been watchable enough. Also, the John Boy Walton actor is in this, playing a major financier. Not alcoholic though."

Severance is the best show I've seen so far this year. Just ahead of Peacemaker.

"hang in there, you'll meet Burt (Christopher Walken) in episode two üòä *when the show was being casted, they hadn't decided on the role of Burt until a suggestion of Walken by John Turturro*"

"Takashi Miike 1:40 Mon May 2 Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls finished Severance. brilliant stuff, loved it Watched the first episode last night of Severance found it weird but will keep watching! Sounds like the piano music score in the backround was written by the same composer of Succession slightly off key and what you might call a sophisticated Les Dawson."

"Got to the end of Ozark. Great ride it was too. In the final 3 eps a late middle aged actor appeared playing Wendy's alcoholic, very unpleasant father, who I kind of recognised but couldn't place for the life of me. I looked him up and it was John a Boy from The Waltons. All I'll say is Mary Elizabeth will be ashamed about how he's turned out."

"The Night Manager is years old now, but agree thought it was superb and Lawrie was indeed excellent. There was talk of a second series but doubt it will happen now."

"jfk 8:11 Sun Apr 10 Just finished Slow Horses. Agreed, was decent. Although tbf anything with Gary Oldman in it is usually quality. Looking forward to the second series."
Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
For crime still haven't seen better than Gomorrah. Better Call Saul. Excellent. For a British thriller production based on a John Le Carre novel. The BBC done an excellent adaption of The Night Manager. The best Hugh Lawrie has ever acted. On BBC I player.

"Zico I love it, but I suspect its more for nostalgia than the quality of it. Defo worth a watch if you like TNG, and if you haven't seen the announcements, I'd suggest a quick Google of the series three cast. Couldn't wipe the smile off my face when I saw it. Love TNG."

Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
Advice please gents. I'm a bit of a classic Trekkie but also had a lot of time for Star Trek TNG. Last year I started watching Picard but gave up after six episodes. Found it slow and boring. My neighbour told me yesterday that the second series is far better so watched another two of series one last night (still slow and boring!). Is series two worth it?
