"Rossal, I was glad it was about them (the main characters), glad to find the boy was a good lad that saw what his father was. glad that the father got a wake up call about what she'd done for his son, I was even glad he topped that car load of wronguns. The other stories were a pale significance to the main characters story....."

Feed Me Chicken 1:50 Mon Feb 6 Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls Ep 4 also a bit shit. They got plenty of woke points though so the average mask wearer will still be saying it’s a 10/10 Is following medical advice considered woke now?

"Everyone raving about the happy valley finale No doubt Sarah Lancashire and James Norton are brilliant but though that the stories and sub plots needed another episode. Too much of it wasn't tied up or some scenes just felt like really lazy writing. The pharmacist storyline ended up feeling like a waste of time burning in the background. No idea what happened to the teacher. Alison's probation offer ends up solving it all.....just out of nothing?! When he is fighting the bloke on the moors and then a massive rock happens to be next to him, then another huge rock just the other side of him.....what good luck that is! Brilliant acting but felt like the episode was building to a dramatic finale and there wasnt then everything else was either tied up in a matter of seconds or just brushed aside. Bit disappointing"

Ep 4 also a bit shit. Probably have too high expectations due to the game but this really isn’t doing it for me. They got plenty of woke points though so the average mask wearer will still be saying it’s a 10/10

"JAC 6:44 Wed Feb 1 Agree, episode 3 sent it veering off on such a random woke tangent that it completely spoiled the first promising 2 episodes Felt like you were watching a pride event love story and you forgot what the actual story line was. Garbage"

"Fuck knows what will happen in Happy Valley tonight? I don't think six episodes is enough, it's that good, I would like to have seen more on the teacher/chemist plot. My money is on that lady who killed her son in the last series coming to Catherine's rescue and shooting Tommy Lee or maybe Ryan will finish his dad off!"

Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
Collyrob I’ll give that a go now. I’ve given up on The Rig which turned out to be shit after a promising start. I posted about ZeroZeroZero 4 years ago when it came out. Excellent TV and Riseborough is a top actor.

Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
Just been reading through this thread. Gomorrah is the best tv ever made in my opinion. before the series there was the film which is not as good but the series does reference it a couple of times so worth watching if you want the right order. Watch the first three series and then make sure you watch Immortal the film (outstanding film) before moving into the next series. It actually is very important to the story line. The final episode just enjoy the music on the end credits as you do miss that tune once you realise the show is over. A true masterpiece. Subbura - even more important to watch the film (again a brilliant piece of film making) beige watching the series as the characters in the film do appear or get referred to in the series. This has all the potential to be another gem until Netflix pulled the plug and the ending fell off a Cliff. Still worth watching as the acting is top notch. The outsider - first couple of episodes were brilliant but this just ends up being almost fit be to shown on the sci-fi channel. HBO bosses renewed it and then cancelled it (probably after watching it)

WFH until my VR gets finalised at the end of April so during my breakko and lunch break I been sitting back and watching Simon Schma’s Hisrory of Britain series… what a magnificently put together series that is… the episode of Queen Liz and Mary Queen of Scotts is a blinder.

"I thought zerozerozero was pretty dark and a hard watch at times, but I suppose that's the reality of that world. Definitely worth a watch with it just being the one series."
