"A really old one but I watched the original Jurassic Park all the way through for the first time in years last night and what a film that was. 1993 and in my opinion the special effects are as good, if not better than those used now but with a big difference with films that are made now, the effects aren't at the expense of the story."

"Percy Dalton 11:32 Thu Dec 30 I may be wrong Perce, but I suspect Hanks is the last man that's ever going to win an Oscar for impersonating a half-wit. Oh, and Cumberbatch is a cսnt."

New Matrix was shit. The action scenes were even more ridiculous than the originals. Lucky I downloaded it.

Watched The Electrical Life of Louis Wain which I thought was a superb film if you liked Forest Gump then I reckon you'll like this. Cumberbatch is a terrific actor and I would have thought would be in line to get an Oscar on this performance.

"Encanto is visually stunning, and enjoyable whilst you watch it, but afterwards I thought it was instantly forgettable - no memorable songs or jokes and the story feels like they gave up two thirds of the way through. Normally my children want to watch stuff like that again but they have no interest in seeing it again"

"Easy to see how anyone expecting Don't Look Up to be anything other than funny in a resigned, shrug-your-shoulders sort of way would be disappointed. But if you are looking for an accurate commentary on how politicians and the media deal with a proper existential threat when their only concern is the most narrow self interest, and on the resulting behaviour of a disorientated and leaderless public, then you will appreciate it. It really is the film of our times."

"Hammer and Pickle 11:14 Mon Dec 27 Actually, I watched longer than I thought. 40 minutes. I might give it another go as I like Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill. It just seemed like unfunny Saturday Night Live political satire that would have been better tackled by Armando Iannucci or Chris Morris."

Jaan Kenbrovin 7:41 Mon Dec 27 Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021) I managed 15 minutes before turning ‘Don’t look up’ off. Absolute garbage. It's good - and Streep has an excellent role as usual.

"Popped out earlier to the pub with the missus and kids, had a couple of pints, tucked into leftovers and watched suicide squad a rare decent watch on sky movies. Wouldn’t bother watching marvel /superhero type films but must say really enjoyed it."

"Joe C 1:36 Mon Dec 27 Indeed, it would be a boring place if we all liked the same thing. I find I can appreciate something without actually enjoying it and it was one of those for me. Bit like the Coen brothers films, in general they just aren't my thing but I appreciate the artistry that goes into it. No Country For Old Men for instance I didn't enjoy at all but can understand why many did. Di Caprio and Lawrence are good actors though. Watched The Revenant again and found that fantastic again second time around."
