"Alfs - I didn't get around to it yet, but will still watch it as I like Crowe, also I found Memento a bit weird. For the record Swiss is one of these that seems to like everything, hardly a ''critic'' lol."

Just finished Sleeping Dogs. Terrible. A poor man's Memento. And what the fuck has Russell Crowe been eating over the last few years?

"zico 11:21 Fri Apr 5 Yes I saw that some years ago. Weirdly Bill Nighy really reminded me of our old guitarist but, well, older. My pal who does the AA rooms regularly sees him along with untold other actors, bankers, ex-models and all sorts. We once sat outside the Design Museum in Kensington having a coffee after going to the Kraftwork exhibition and I couldn't believe how many fit looking women stopped and said hello to him. It was almost enough to make me stop drinking. Almost..."

"chim chim cha boo 8:39 Fri Apr 5 If you like Bill Nighy you have probably already see it but on Prime I think they are showing an old classic Still Crazy about an old washed up pop band. Nighy, Billy Connolly, Jimmy Nail, Timothy Spall, a great watch."

"Best film I’ve seen this year (very few tbf) was Snack Shack. It’s a coming of age comedy/drama set in the summer of 91. Similar feel to Liquorice Pizza and The Holdovers. Director Adam Rehmeier’s first film, Dinner in America, is also worth a watch if you like quirky comedies. It’s like a punk version of Napoleon Dynamite."

"I watched Poor Things on Disney Plus. Conversely, it has lots of sex and swearing. In fact, Mark Ruffalo comes up some of the best swearing committed to the siver screen. It is extremely weird, and I wouldn’t try and interpret it as being any way deep, but I liked it."

"What was this thread doing disappearing from the front page? For shame! I watched 'The Beautiful Game' on Netflix last night and although it wasn't really my kind of thing (although Bill Nighy is always worth a watch) I started to think that if you've got kids and all want to sit and watch something together it's perfect. No swearing or sex, beautifully filmed in Rome and most importantly there's a great shout out to West Ham. It's fictional but the event itself exists and its heart is in the right place and there's nothing wrong with a 'nice' film in a sometimes shitty world. Put your arms around your kids, cuddle up on the sofa and have ONE night when you don't watch Frozen again!"

Saw Dune Part 2 the other day. Enjoyed the content but Christ was it long! Would have been ideal as three 59 minute episodes on Netflix or something. One marathon sitting in the cinema though is not for me.
