NFL (since 2016)

"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"Na, your fella even has a shite name. I mean Bruce?? ha ha By all accounts Solomon Thomas is the best defensive player Stanford have ever had, so we'll soon ruin the poor fucker. Here's hoping they all stay fit, play well and don't become murderers like some of their peers. Draft still confuses me after all these years. We traded our 2nd overall pick with the Jets for the 3rd pick and others and got the same bloke we wanted anyway. Gutted Jets?"

"no, we got the best player in the draft :.) I like Reuben Foster a lot, but he needs some strong leadership from your coaches as he's a potential problem off the field"

"A bizarre move from the Bears, especially when we have pressing needs everywhere else and this seems like a deep draft for certain areas. A third and fourth round pick could be a starter for us next season, as well as the fact we've given up an elite talent using up the high first rounder on him. Also, if we are shit next season (which is likely), there will be huge pressure to drop Glennon and play the young prospect before he's ready. Strange move all round."

Bears gave up a lot of picks to move up one spot and draft a QB who has only played 1 year at college and looks like a project. And after giving mike glennon 14 million a year seems like a strange move. Just catching up on the draft but I think McCaffery is a massive boom or bust pick at number 8 to the Panthers And the chiefs taking Mahomes seems like a decent move as he will not be ready to play for atleast 2 more seasons I wouldn't think. taken far too high again though when the chiefs are almost ready to win now.

Eli manning being investigated for selling fake merchandise to countless fans! Could be actual fraud charges! Cant imagine the NFL will take much action against one of the precious manning family though

Think Jerry Jones may have talked him into retiring and going into broadcasting rather than releasing him and allowing him to go to the other team in Texas

"Have to agree grumps especially if they resign hightower like it sounds like they are, they have a top 3 cornerback duo now, Good luck trying to stop an offense that has Gronk and allen at tightend, edelman, cooks, hogan, mitchell and maybe smendola st receiver aswell as lewis and white catching from the backfield, they do still need to pick up the big running back to replace blount but there are lots of them in the draft by the sounds of it. 11/2 patriots to win the superbowl get on it now as that price will only come down barring an injury crisis"

"Funny (ish) story about Dan Snyder. I used to work for a fairly small UK company that the Snyders bought back in the 90s. Not really knowing what they had bought, Dan and his sister Michelle came over from the US to check us out. They said they wanted a working lunch as part of their brief visit, so someone was sent out from the office to buy some finger food for lunch. The person responsible (not me), came back with a decent selection of M&S food including ham sandwiches, sausage rolls, scotch eggs, pork pies etc which the Jewish Snyders were not too impressed with. Not sure if that sealed the deal but we never saw them again, and a little while later they sold us. That might be the secret for the Redskins, prepare a large pork-based buffet for him every time he comes in?"
