NFL (since 2016)
"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

Re: 2016 NFL Season
Khan who owns Jacksonville has said he may be willing to give up more than one game in the future to play in London but I'm not sure a permanent franchise will happen anytime soon. maybe one of the L.A. franchises will fold as I don't see particularly strong support for either

Re: 2016 NFL Season
they both get a fee but the team giving up a home game also get put higher up the superbowl host rotation list which can potentially earn a franchise millions. there's probably other factors too but certain clubs with a strong fan base are obviously reluctant to give up one of their home games and piss off their supporters

"Does anyone here use NFL game pass and if you do, does it work with chromecast? I use treating sites normally because I want to choose my games but they're not massively reliable."

"Don't be so sure. The Fins lost last week to the worst Jets team that I have ever seen. And I've seen some crap from the Jets down the years (such as Rich Kotite's mid-90s SNL impression of a head coach). So my guess is that the game today might have some drama, but will lack quality."

"should be much better than last week. many want to see the Brit Ajayi for Miami, and Drew Brees already a legend for the Saints ."

Re: 2016 NFL Season
The protests this week had much less to do with what Kaepernick was originally protesting and more to do with the brotherhood of the NFL uniting when Trump came after the few players that were protesting.

"Tannehill was their starter going into the season but he did his knee in one of the first practices of training camp, Adam gase their head coach worked with Cutler when he had his best time in chicago, so it seems like a good fit, he's a talented pkayer, he has an absolute cannon of an arm but its his work ethic and real commitment to the game that has always been in question"

"kaepernick would have been signed were not for his love/admiration of fidel castro. again, I hate politics anywhere near the sport so I couldn't a fuck where the cսnt plays but clearly the dolphins thought it was an issue"

Re: 2016 NFL Season
"What I see very clearly is a police force in extreme trouble they have to work for a terrible system that allows them to abuse those who are poor those who are Black and those who are ethnic. The job of the Police in America is to fill prisons so that money can be made and that should not be the job of the police at all. In fact I would say the whole system is spent and very corrupt , what Kaepernick began was a scream of ""enough is enough"" not only are Blacks getting killed but the Police are not even being held to account for there actions and that hurts, it makes Blacks feel like animals or vermin and that is not on. You avoid me Takashi I am no one, but where you see politics I see humanity, when governments want they will use their sports people for political issues and you know what most will not even notice simply because they agree or are happy to go with the status quo. Politics is life I guess, what is a flag and why is it so important ? John Agard knows read his poem and learn something."
Re: 2016 NFL Season
The US flag thing is woven into their tradition. I spent my first year at school in Miami (still have my tiny Bob Griese shirt) and one of the few thing I remember from that year is pledging allegiance to flag at the start of the school day. Thought it was weird then and still do.

"But that's where Trump has fucked up and made it worse. In Charlottesville, he condemns Nazis but said not everybody in the group was a Nazi. Some fine people on both sides. But in this case, there are no fine people peacefully protesting. All of the protestors are sob's. It makes him look like a cock. From what i can tell, this could have been over with inside the year. Now the protest has moved onto him. Great way to disguise the fact he threatened war with North Korea or his new healthcare plan is going to be vetoed or his own staff used personal e-mail accounts or he's put in place new travel restrictions. No, we're talking about sports. It's a bit of a joke."

Re: 2016 NFL Season
"Moved to America three months ago. Loving the NFL. Great game last night. The Cowboys should have been out of it by half time, but that TD by Prescott. I get the hype. Haven't got a team yet as i don't know where i'm gonna be full time. At one point i was moving to NY so i was gonna go with the Jets. My local team are the Bucs. Dunno about that. They're shit, but have a won a superbowl, so not shit enough. As for the protests, as a Brit abroad i don't understand the disrespecting the flag nonsense. Seems hypocritical t me. You believe in free speech or you don't. Especially after the Cowboys stood for the anthem but are still getting shit from conservatives for disrespecting the flag. Clearly a racist agenda from Trump and have to agree with Hairy. First Mexicans, now Blacks. Especially with his white house bollocks. Didn't see him complain when Brady skipped the white house. Generally don't like sport and politics mixing, but i don't mind us wearing the poppy on our arms during a game and i don't mind NFL players taking a knee. Why the fuck is the anthem played before a domestic game anyway? Final thing seeing as no one is really talking about the sport, but i think Aaron Rodgers might be my favourite player. He's been the stand out for me in the few years i've been paying attention."
