NFL (since 2016)

"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"I understand his touchdown numbers are impressive, I've not watched loads of the Rams this year but I;ve noticed a few times this year he hasn't racked up loads of years but he's just punched the ball into the endzone. Don't get me wrong I know how incredibly talented he is but in that offence it seems like they have been using him more exclusively in the redzone"

"Better Whomail your bank details Burnsy, may as well pay out on our bet now you lanky streak of piss!! Money Gurley is winning me with constantly backing him in play though is making me actually quite like your mob, can't see a better player than him in the league at the moment. 14 TD's already, that's just mental."

"Yeah right now can't see anything other than a Patriots Chiefs AFC championship game, think whoever is at home wins it so seeding will be huge. Pats didn't look great yesterday, made a lot of sloppy mistakes with no Gronk amd Sony Michel going out early, but they still put up 38 points. Michel's injury looked bad and that could be a big factor as he was pretty much the running game"

"Annoying for you that our defence finally showed up this weekend and made some key plays, and that Butker missed his first FG of the season. Great win though!"

"Fuck sake, I was waiting on the chiefs to win with over 56 points in the game for over 900 quid! Bengals can only put up 10 fucking points so I miss out by 2 fucking points, not nice to wake up to this morning."

I tried watching that game on BBC. After half an hour I had seen about 2 minutes of actual play. There was an awful lot of chatting and gesturing going on. Frankly it amazes me that anyone could sit and watch an entire match.

"i had a good day at Wembley today, Titans tried a 2 point conversion in dying seconds instead of going for the easy 1 point to draw the game. probably wrong, but the crowd enjoyed it (beer up to £ 6- 50 a pint now) ."

"Yeah they are definitely stacked, Andy Reid teams usually come out the games really fast and then slw down as teams start figuring more things out, but it may well be different with Mahomes there as he can do so many things that are just unscripted. Would love to see the matchup again in January although I also don't want any part of the Chiefs as they are the one team in the AFC that I wouldn't be confident of beating. Home field advantage will be huge as it would be a completely different game in Arrowhead, so hopefully the chiefs have one or 2 slip ups throughout the season and the game will be in New England again :)"

"I honestly think that even with more tape teams are still going to struggle to contain this offence. The best coach in the game had 10 days preparation time, threw in a bunch of disguised coverages, and still managed to gave up 40 points - this was with Mahomes missing two easy throws that would have been TDs, rather than FGs. The offence is so loaded this year and teams can't double everyone so it's a case of pick your poison. Our defense is the killer - we are currently on course to give up the most yards in a season during the Superbowl era. If we are serious about making a run in the playoffs that has to be sorted out - even a middling defence would get the job done IMO."
