NFL (since 2016)

"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"he hasn't been convicted yet, and the same bird lied about being attacked by him earlier in the year. shanahan had enough of him after warning him to keep her away from the team hotel. no doubt, he'll be fucked off if this time he's guilty"

"Redskins claimed rueben foster of waivers, very strange decision especially PR wise, Coach has already cone out and said he may never play a snap for them"

Wouldn't that bet have been a winner in every fixture thus far this season?

"I rarely bet big, but PP are doing 11/8 on brees to throw a TD in each half tomorrow night. Considered that worth 100 English pounds."

"Yeah I like Mayfield, he seems to have that cunty side to him and have a chip on his shoulder like the fact he had the best game of his career this week, no doubt in my mind that was because Hue Jackson was on the other sideline. I thought Rosen was going to be the best guy coming out as he looked the most pro-ready and has such a high IQ but the Cardinals are just a complete shitshow and he has nothing but an ancient Larry Fitz to throw to, could really hurt his growth but he has shown flashes"

"Mayfield is a top prospect. I wanted the Jets to draft him this year, but Cleveland surprised many observers when they took him ahead of Darnold. He has exceptional accuracy - but, more than that, he has a fighter's mentality. He finds a way to make the play. He'll be a fine QB in the NFL for years, providing Cleveland find the right coach for him. TM - Green was an amazing cornerback. Lightening fast and read plays/scanned the field like it was easy. Gold standard player."

Watson and Darnold are both a poor mans Baker Mayfield.

"I really like DeShaun Watson, btw. I'm no fan of the Texans, but I lament the day the Jets passed on Watson in the draft. We've potentially - potentially - drafted a better QB in Darnold one year later. But I think Watson has top-level talent, and we could have spent April's draft finding him some weapons if we'd taken him last year. He'd have put the Jets one year ahead of their current rebuilding curve."

"Neon Deon was a ridiculously talented player. He oozed quality. Personally, I'm not one to be impressed by the showboating etc. But at least he almost always backed it up with top level performances - and I mean top level. I doubt, btw, that there have been many faster American footballers. I don't mean somebody who can run 100m in a straight line - that's an entirely different sport and, frankly, has little place in American football. I mean somebody who can run like lightening, often going backwards (if you're a cornerback or safety), change direction in milliseconds, exhibit ridiculous agility and do it all while being tackled or hassled by a 250lb linebacker (or in Deon's case, a 300lb offensive lineman angry that his QB has been picked off) who wants to tear your head off. That's the sort of speed that you need in the NFL. Running quickly in a straight line and handing over a baton is fine. But it's not the same by any stretch of the imagination - because it never exists in the sport. So it is an entirely superfluous debate."

"i like the texans. they have a very good d-line/linebackers and two elite receivers. watson's still learning though at this level and often takes unnecessary risks when taking off on a run. hopefully he learns to slide and cut the chances of another bad injury, as he's great to watch"

"Texans are like a premiership 7-8 side. Clearly better than most, but will be quickly brushed aside by the proper decent teams when it comes to the play offs."

"Don't really know what to make of the Texans they obviously have a good record and have some star players (Watson, Hopkins, Watt, Clowney) but I don't think they're very good. The only good team they've played all season is the Patriots and that was in week 1 and they lost, other than that its the Redskins or Cowboys as the best team's they've played. They've also scraped by a lot of games this season due to missed kicks or terrible coaching decisions"

"I had Demarious Thomas to score the first TD in both halves last night at 16's a fiver a pop. Maybe I shouldn't have been greedy and should have instead just done the 1st TD for his team and cleaned up twice, instead of getting fuck all!!"

"Sanders was before my time but I've seen highlights of him. Can't stand the bloke now though he does my head in. In terms of sheer speed surely Tyreek Hill is the fastest to ever play in the NFL? (atleast play well, I remember the Patriots had a member of the American Olympic relay team on their squad a few years back but he did nothing) I've seen a clip where they show Hill's HIGH SCHOOL 200M time vs Usain Bolt when he won the Olympic and he's really not far behind"

Deon Sanders was ludicrously quick. One the reasons I love the NFL is the mix of out and out strength merchants and olympic level speed. One sniff of open space and nobody caught Deon.

"players like butkus and singletary were a different breed, all about playing. not sure when it changed but sanders was one of the early showboaters. he was funny though, sometimes celebrating, high stepping yards before he'd got to the endzone :.)"
