NFL (since 2016)
"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Patriots allow their first touchdown since the AFC championship game and it came on a muffed punt by an undrafted rookie

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Nine million for one game (if true)? That's 160,000 dollars per yard that he gained for the Patsies. Each time he scoots a yard down the road, he can laugh and think: ""Another 160,000 in the bank."" Unfortunately for him, he might well be scooting into retirement, a ban and, quite possibly, a court room."

"I don't think anyone will sign him now because he's under investigation for these texts and the NFL will suspend him anyway. It's a no win, if they sign him they get all the flak for signing someone who's sent intimidating texts to a woman who has accused of him inappropriate sexual behaviour, and you can't even benefit from him playing because he will be on a ban."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Brown is going to spending a lot of time with his lawyers and would be a nightmare for any side to pick up. As well as, or perhaps because of, the sexual assault (incl. rape) allegations, he's showing real signs of being on the edge: rows about his playing helmet, rows with GMs about his personal conduct, missing training sessions, fines etc. Almost every side with cap room will make an inquiry about him, due to his undoubted talent, but I wouldn't touch him with a bargepole at the moment. Now watch the Jets pick him up!"
Re: NFL (since 2016)
The only thing more boring and turgid than amerycan football is death. I would rather smash myself to death with a rolling pin than watch - participate or be a fan of the NFL. Id rather jump naked and genitally erect into a vat of boiling dung.

"Yeah the owner has come out and said they'll make him the highest paid player at his position, money solves everything Not sure why you'd trade the 2nd best cornerback in the league like you're not going to get anyone close to his talent with a first round pick"

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Brown has gone from 30 million guaranteed in oakland to earning just over 150k total for the year Cant see Ramsey, cornerback is the deepest position on the team would like them to look at a toght end or Olineman though now they have some extra wiggle room under the cap"

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Nobody can afford to sign him now with that hanging over him. He will be totally skint within 2 years. Do they get Jalen Ramsey now? Lot of extra cash to 0lay with.

Patriots have released antonio brown I know talent generally gets you extra chances in this league but good chance he's played his last game in the nfl

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"They've already signed a sort of journeyman tackle, bit of a weird name who apparently had 10 invites to come and meet teams but said he wanted to play for Dante Scarnecchia. Seen lots of rumours of Trent Williams fromt he Redskins but i dont think they have the Caprrom for that and it doesnt make much sense when the 1st round pick from last year will be back halfway through the season. The pats' first 8 games are very soft so i would think between McDaniels, Belichick, Scarnecchia and Brady they can piece it together and focus on quick passes and maybe run the ball more."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"crystal, we have the perfect player for you who's currently refusing to play for us. I'm sure you could backdate his money for next year but it depends on what picks you offer, and the alleged deal you offered weeks ago, last pick in round one, isn't close to a deal for a constant pro bowl tackle"

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Yep, saw the o-line problems that the Patsies are having. Losing your starting left tackle is never an easy thing. He's the blind-side for Brady. Could see Belichick dipping back into the free agency or trade market - but not sure how much wriggle room there is after the Brown deal..?"
