NFL (since 2016)

"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"Well, Steelers v Browns did not disappoint! What a mad game that was. Abysmal opening for Tomlin's men, who then woke up, but you can't come back against a decent side like Cleveland from 28-0 down after a quarter. Browns - Chiefs could get interesting, although consistency has been Cleveland's problem. Most likely Roethlisberger's final game. Three 501 yards, but four picks. What a QB he's been for them. Outlasted Eli and (by a week) Rivers."

"Also 4 interceptions. Plus giving up 48 at home. To a divisional rival. Who. Let's face it, has been a running joke for the past 20 years.! Big Ben days are numbered. Kansas v Cleveland next weekend is looking like a juicy slug fest."

Big Ben threw for 501 yards. Not sure I've ever seen someone throw so many yards before.

Absolutely brainless from the Bears' receiver.

These refs are awful and they have been all weekend. That 15 yard penalty for throwing the ball to the ref that might have gone close to a player he was talking to is absurd

"Find it so weird when the saints use Hill for throwing plays. He may be able to run, but that's about it."

Was a good one - reminded me of the old Bilichick thing of forcing you to win without your strength - Henry's longest run was 8 yards (I think) and Tannehill just couldnt get it done. It flew by!

Bollocks! Missed it. Looks like the Ravens D-line played a blinder.

Played pretty well when we beat the Rams a couple of weeks ago - but last night was the worst we've played on both sides of the ball all season. Not the time to have that stinker

"No shocks so far, all the sides who I thought should have won have. Regardless of Goff, the seahawks and Wilson haven't been playing well for a few weeks and you're always fucked going into the play offs weeks out of form."

Expect the first pile-on within the first five minutes. I like Mayfield (reminds me of Jim McMahon) but he's a wind-up merchant. One of the Steelers could easily thump him!

"Really looking forward to seeing the Browns v Steelers tonight. Two good sides, fierce rivals and no love lost between many of the current players. I've also had a bit of a soft spot for both sides: blue collar franchises playing old-fashioned American football. It could get nasty, especially with the Browns daring to challenge their more successful rivals."

"Joe C - yeah, it was difficult for your guys to run the ball, or create a stable pocket for Wilson, when you're offensive line was going backwards so often. That Rams D-Line, even without Donald, is so physically strong. The Hawks definitely need to strengthen their OL in free agency/draft."

"Rams too good for the hawks again even when Donald went out injured they were getting to Wilson at will. Great to see the best team in the NFC West get through. Goff is playing poorly there is no doubt about that, but he does have a broken thumb and shouldn't have been playing really. Hopefully Wolford is ok as he was carted off to the hospital, Kupp looks fucked as well."

"Fell asleep at the beginning of the fourth, but was no surprise to wake up and found we'd lost - southbank has it spot on why. Still, hopefully the SHAME at losing to a team led by Goff, who is fucking terrible, will fester in them in the close-season and will come back all guns blazing later in the year. And we use all our draft picks to sort the poxy O line out"

"SB, the young guy Taylor did well last night and many are getting carried away about him being the answer. He may have earned a roster spot but there's some big decisions to be made by many teams I just hope Aaron Donald is back to go against Rodgers, obviously if the Saints don't choke :.)"

"TM - the no-names are a good QB away from being a fine side. That DL is very good and even managed to disrupt Brady at times, despite his options. If you put Watson out to lead that side, you'd be strong. Especially in the NFC East."

"If I had to pick one QB in history to play for me it would always be Elway, he just did things different but I think Brady is the most intelligent QB in history. watching him at this age still performing reminded me of football playmakers who may have lacked pace, but who thought a couple of yards quicker than the opposition. Jack Del Rio transformed our defence this year but prior to last night had a 1-8 record against Brady, now 1-9. I hate the patriots but you have to admire hard work and no one studies an opponent better than him. the Skins played great, that was our 4th QB of the season and a bloke who'd gone back to college to finish off his mathematics masters degree. Rivera's restored pride in the franchise"

"Rams just bullied the Hawks all game. Like it. Proper pressure on Wilson. Dominated the line and consistently shoved the OL back two yards, even when they couldn't get at the QB. It was old skool defense. Brady looked ominously good with that receiver corps."

Tom Brady now has more playoff wins than Montana and Manning combined (the next closest QBS)
