NFL (since 2016)
"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"That guy is a tank. It's ridiculous how many key carries he has on average per game without getting busted up. No slouch, either. That could be quite a trio for the Titans."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Henry's body must be due a breakdown soon. He is a battering ram and has been used a lot. It's a rare running back who can keep that workload up without serious injury stepping in.

Julio jones to the titans is just about done. Good luck stopping him and AJ Brown while also accounting for Derrick Henry

"considering this part of the pre-season is now voluntary in terms of attendance, the skins had 86 players participating in the first day of OTAs. Ron's plan :.)"

That said- it's on the assumption you were planning to be in Vegas already regardless of the game. Probably not worth a special trip over.

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Raiders games will be incredibly expensive now. They'll have a massive pull for tourists from everywhere and i bet the casinos have loads of season tickets for comps. Best bet is probably going to be to try and get something on the day of the game or leading up to it through resell or a tout. The stadium, I think, is only about a 10 minute walk from the Luxor or Mandalay bay and no doubt there will be loads of free transport going to/from the strip anyway."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"It's mad, isn't it? The Raiders charge a fortune to watch their shite! I'm definitely at the Jets/Atlanta game at Tottenham. Our lot rightly won't allow themselves to lose a home game from their schedule, so this is only the second time they'll have played an ""away""ù game here. Covid permitting, of course."
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Schedule announced, straight on ticketmaster to see how much it will set me back to see my Fins demolish the Raiders in their fancy new home. $350 for a nosebleeder, north of two grand for anything in the lower bowl. Jacksonville at The SpursBowl it is then."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Yeah i think that's probably true about the rake as well. At the other stadiums the first few rows are covered off so the crowd can see over all the players and staff on the sidelines. I think they'd have to cover the first 20 rows or so at LS so people can see properly. There's definitely a long enough area to accommodate an NFL field, though."
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Not sure about that. If so how does Wembley/Twickenham cope with NFL. That said it's still too small, awful rail routes and no room for a decent tailgate. Went to the Raiders v Bears game in 2019 and was very underwhelmed by the stadium, especially after all the knicker wetting about it."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"wrong, our ground is too shallow a rake for NFL, Spurs remove football pitch to an even lower NFL pitch, and their dressing rooms are purpose built for huge squads ."
Re: NFL (since 2016)
I see it's only two UK games this year. Both at the second biggest club ground in London (our ground would be so much better for NFL). Dolphins v Jags Jets v Falcons
Re: NFL (since 2016)
Please let the Jags be the hard knocks team this year. Please please please please please.

"He could play three snaps as a TE and still be better than he was as a quarterback. Stole a living as the water carrier, even at the Jets."

"Every defense coach in the AFC South just dusted off Buddy Ryan's old 46-Bear playbook. ""Bring the secondary up to the line, Chuck, take 'em straight through the tight end: it's a free run at the QB..."""

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"TM - caught up on film of Carter since we picked him. Looks a very fine RB for a 4th round pick. Clearly, we've benefited from the fact that he shared running duties with Williams at college. So we've got a talented RB with a low-round pick who isn't as bashed up as some college running backs. LaFleur has a lot to work with on offense next season. I just read a really good piece (paywall) in the US about Saleh and how he viewed the draft. It seems that he wanted Ty Campbell as CB in round 2, but Jacksonville picked him with the opener in the round - so he was happy to go with another offensive pick instead. Apparently, Saleh has told LaFleur and Douglas that hew was happy to make this 'their' draft on offense. He wants to take a good look at the defensive talent he has on the roster (we spent heavily on defense in free agency) and then seek to add more pieces on defense with the next draft (where, again, we have a lot of top-end picks). I like his approach. He seems to think and plan like a head coach, even for a newbie. Makes a refreshing change from Gase."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Rivera even managed to pick up an underrated free agent running back in Jaret Patterson who went to the same high school as Chase Young, supports the Skins and in one game against Kent State last season fan for 400yds & 8 touchdowns. it's seems him being built like Darren Sproles put teams off :.)"
