The defence has no bite, no penetration and no sense of togetherness. A gnarled old fucker needs to come in and instil some passion and nous into that group. We thought that's what Saleh would do as HC, but he's inadvisably hands-off with the defence. Rex runs a very different defence (probably incompatible with Saleh's philosophy), but would have been ideal otherwise. Say what you like about Rex, but his defences were always fired-up, tough and hard to read. Somebody like Lewis could help Saleh a lot if the HC won't call defensive plays."
