"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"It is weird that, given Dak Prescott's injury record, the Cowboys don't have a proven backup QB in their squad. You'd think they would have learned after Dak's last injury and Andy Dalton's subsequent concussion. Ryan Fitzpatrick coming out of retirement would be fun. Probably not fun for him though given the O-line issues."

"I hate snyder and nothing excuses the two decades of mediocrity, not to mention the sexual harassment stuff and other shit but what he did do was hand over control to rivera who brought in people he could work with in the front office, and basically get out of the way and let the professionals work. I hate dallas, but it must be frustrating having someone so controlling in charge of the franchise. you only have to remmeber back to his he treated jimmy johnson, and the last close season alienating his best receiver because he didn't agree with certain protocols"

their biggest problem is the Owner/GM. he's a control freak and narcissist. I don't particularly like or rate mike mccarthy but what chance as he got when that prick jones is still doing locker room interviews after each game. It's an unworkable environment and I don't think it eve changes because the son will take over once jerry drops dead

"With Prescott out until week 10 (at least), Dallas have to look at poaching a decent back-up from somewhere. The only free agent of real note is Cam Newton, so that might happen. But it didn't exactly work for the Patsies etc. Gotta take a serious look at Jimmy G, Minshew, Darnold etc - all #2s at their teams. Darnold might actually do well in that Dallas set up. He ain't getting ahead of Mayfield any time soon."

"I do feel a tiny bit sorry for the Cowgirls, because of the WHO connection with Norf. They have had a large number of injuries already, and to vital players (QB and left tackle, most famously). That's your offensive engine room gone, right there: bloke who throws and calls plays, and his blind side protection. Plus others. Healthy, that squad runs off against Washington for the division. But you've got to fancy TM's mob now."

"Dallas going to have to move on from Prescott now (after this season), surely? Too injury prone and they can't plan around him on that contract. Problem will be finding a deal for him."

"The Cowgirls put a lot of resources into their Offence over the past few years and Dak had loads of weapons. They also had a decent defence but were stuck for too long with the old coaching team. Seems like their salary cycle is against them now and the new coaches are left to pick up the pieces. The fact your brother is one of them makes it really hard for me to relish their problems. I'm a bit gutted about that because as we all know, at least when our own team is shit, we always get a bit of pleasure from Haringey having a shit result."

"Fucking season is over looks like Dak will miss half the season probably and Basham left the game on crutches absolute disaster And shows what ludicrous decision to give gallop a new contract when he's not back for 4/5 games from his torn ACL and to let cooper go on a trade for a packet of fags and stick of bubble gum, there is literally nothing about that that makes the slightest bit of sense. Thought they may get beckham in but no wide receiver of any quality will sign now there's nobody to throw him the ball We are absolutely fucked not even a half decent free agent out there"

Empire's come. Empires go. Nice to see most of the AFC East finally getting its act together. Even if it took the better part of 20 years. Still work needs to be done in the green half of New York.

"There's nothing like a good win to start the season""¶and the Jets had nothing like a good win to start the season. Utter dross, yet again. That's six out of seven years they've started with a big loss on opening day. Fucking Groundhog Day. Flacco, who must be about 328 years-old, looked about 628 years-old. Which is quite an achievement. We've got a tough schedule this year, starting with all four AFC North sides, and the AFC East is strong as the Bills and Fish proved today. It's going to be yet another VERY long season in Gotham. I'm fed up hearing Saleh bang on about a defence he refuses to call plays for. Until he grows a pair of bollocks and starts coaching on game days, he's just background noise. The schedule eases a bit towards the end of the season, and our many rookies will have started to improve by then (hopefully). So we should win a few games in Nov/Dec. But we could easily be 2-8 after ten games. Again."

I still like Wentz and when he is on form there are few if any QBs who throw it as well. His turnovers are more entertaining than the average turnover too although not when he's on your side and the season is on the line.

"Some cracking games. Was hard to follow at one point. Had red zone on the telly and the eagles on the iPad. Between the spit screen on red zone and the Eagles trying their best to give away a massive lead, it was all a bit confusing. On the plus side the Birds won and despite having only two players on my Fantasy Team, both of them have turned up and given me a shout."

Ha The Saints generally play like a parking lot of dumpster fires for 3 quarters but the Dirty Birds choke again and they get the win.
