NFL (since 2016)
"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"That Dallas defense is playing as well as any other unit in the NFL at the moment. Really well drilled, and they have explosive pressure, too. Parsons is on another level at the moment, but his team-mates create many of opportunities for him, too. Norf - your bro should be proud, mate. That's a properly coached unit from line to secondary. The big Q with Dallas, as always, is whether the QB will be up to the biggest challenges when the season's proper clutch moments come up. The back-up is playing well, but he hasn't come up against real pressure yet. Blimey Cowgirls and Fish playing well. It all feels a bit 'late 80s'!"

"My sister sold pest-control for two summers in Dallas and really loved it. So, in a strange set of connections, my little niece has picked up the idea of being a Cowboys cheerleader, much to the chagrin of her parents and everyone. For that reason and the fact that they are the Liverpool or Man U of the NFL, I can't ever wish them well. Looking like a good team though, right to be proud Norf."

"The cowgirls Defence is a real menace, viciously destructive. If Washington don't sort their fragile O line out soon there is going to be carnage in those two division games. Absolute carnage. If I was Carson, I'd have COVID for those."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Another great cowboys win but more importantly a really impressive performance we really should of won by more Defence are an absolute menace most sacks in the entire NFL only 3 TD's in 3 games they just seem to be getting better every game Jones will be spending most of this week in the ice bath he got smashed all game Cee Dee after a really poor first 3 quarters finally woke up in the fourth And what can I say about rush he's not a world beater but he's plenty good enough to win games as he's proved in the 3 games he's played The call to go for it on 4th and 4 ultimately won us the game and was massively ballsy call from McCarthy Looking forward to seeing my brother against Efe next week a proper master and apprentice match up

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Just read a telling stat relating to Saleh's era as Jets HC: his team has been behind in EVERY game he has coached. Even games he's won, they trailed for most of the time. The Jets just never get ahead, and stay ahead, under this coach. Which puts far too much pressure on his offence to pass the ball regularly - rather than run a balanced offense, where they run the ball as often. Defensively, it means the side rarely gets to rush the quarterback, because opponents too often lead the Jets early and therefore run the ball regularly. Hence, so few sacks. We're making our offensive running game impotent, meaning we can't control the clock, and turbo-charging opponents' ground game."

Here's hoping swapping the Big Easy for the Big Smoke will cure what ails the Saints (spoilers: probably not) Anyone going?

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"TM - spot on. With the Jets, the roster is now significantly better. Sauce, G Wilson, Johnson and others are all good picks. Joe Douglas, in fairness to him, has done his homework and done his bit. But the coaching staff, including Saleh, have been a car crash. Genuinely no better than Gase and his team at the moment. Which is saying something. I'll give them a bit more time - they are still dealing with a young (albeit more talented) roster - but my view up to this point is that Saleh has been massively over-promoted and so have some of his co-ordinators. We haven't even competed in two out of the three games this season. Defensively, we are shocking. Yet Saleh still refuses to call defensive plays. It will most likely get him sacked unless he bucks his ideas up, and quickly. I hope that changes, naturally."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"SB, he just refuses to sign veteran players that he hasn't got a past history (Panthers) with and it's killing us. You can get away with only bringing in youth in year one, but he just doesn't have the time to develop that many young players - not that I think this coaching staff are capable of making any plays better anyway Regarding Salah, it doesn't look much has changed other than the roster looks better. The one side he should have improved, hasn't. There are quite a few very good QBs entering next year's draft so maybe your front office will wait to pull the trigger on a new coach once you find out where you're drafting. Whoever is brought in will have some great weapons to target, but as evidenced with us, if you have a thick as s hit coordinator like Scott Turner calling plays, the amount of talent is irrelevant"

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Yep, totally agree on Rivera, mate. He looks a bit insecure and wouldn't deal with the likes of Manley or Taylor. But you need several players like that on your roster - they force the team/squad to be better. It's what the Jets have lacked for a while, too. As well as talent! What makes the Jets' insipid start to another season so galling is that the Fish are 3-0 and, whisper it, looking like a decent side. IC must be on cloud nine."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"SB, of course the coaching and play calling has to be questioned but it's also a very soft team that lacks characters. from what I've seen of Ron over the last three years, he wouldn't have touched people like Dexter Manley, John Riggins or Sean Taylor with a barge pole, yet that's what the team is missing. In yesterday's post match presser he started talking about an espn story about him wanting garoppolo in the summer and using it as an excuse. once you start bullshitting to the fans, it doesn't end well"

"TM/HH, Just seen highlights of the Washington game. My god, that O-line was poor. On two occasions, I swear it collapsed before the snap (players in motion)! Looks like they've never practiced. Doesn't matter who you've got behind centre when that happens. Feel sorry for Wentz. He's going to get badly injured."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"HH, it may sound harsh to an outsider/neutral but they need to watch the last two games to see how bad things are. at least del rio got improvements today, turner's continued to be shit season after season. rivera's a nice person, but his reluctance to bring in experience in key positions and instead rely on ex panthers or complete dart throws is infuriating. he let's key players walk and fails to bring in a similar standard and it now looks like his in denial regarding the results/performance. they have to win next week"

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Takishi. I think Ron has to go now. It's been a shit show for a long time now. Just when you think it can't get worse after the Detroit game. He doesn't want to change the coaches Del Rio is an absolute joke. I'm so pissed off about it. He will just say 'We gotta do better' Fucking shambles

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Jets crashed back down to Earth with another Saleh shitshow this week. God awful play-calling again. Ended with our best lineman having a massive row with the D-Line coach. Saleh has now lost 15 of the 19 games he's been head coach. The honeymoon period is well and truly over. If he doesn't start winning games by the second half of this season, he'll be out the door come January, as just another loud bullshit merchant who couldn't deliver. Many fans are fed up with him. He's showing no signs of improvement and he's losing authority. The journalists in Gotham have started calling him out, too, as a bit of a gobby fraud, and it's wearing on him (hence his ""keeping the receipts""ù quote). Who'd coach the Jets?!"

"I feel sorry for Wentz here. Absolutely zero protection, running for his life every play. Hit repeatedly and then when he has got throws off, receivers have dropped balls that I could catch. Could easily have been even more sacks today."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"I don't think I've seen an o-line as bad as this, nine sacks today. It doesn't help that he has such poor pocket presence, but he's getting very little help from the five pricks in front of him. even the replacement center can't snap the ball properly, with wentz constantly catching off his shins. rivera's been here three years now, the personnel's improved but they can't coach them"

Takashi Miike 10:09 Sun Sep 25 I haven't seen Washington's much but I would trade the Saints O-line for any in the league at this point. Jameis and coaching don't help but it is brutal every play.

"two weeks running, rivera let good players go and replaced them with soft cunts that he used to coach in carolina. much more of this and he needs to be sacked, especially after last week's horror show in detroit"

"I switched the game off last night thinking id had a shocker putting the browns defence in this week. Forced fumble, fumble recovery and TD on the last play of the game for 9 points"
