NFL (since 2016)
"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Third this season herm, had to fly home last night so won't be there tonight but going back for the home play off games (if we don't screw it up from here) I love it tbh. Been to titans and a few others and they feel like a show.. eagles feels like sport with an actual atmosphere as opposed to a manufactured one. My seats (I say mine...) are on the halfway line in 201 so just far enough back to be covered although you still get fucking soaked if the wind blows the wrong way. And to be honest, it's actually just great watching sport in a proper stadium. Steep sided so it doesn't actually matter how far back you are. Not like the cesspit"

"IsaacHock 12:30 The niners I think had some sort of similar mad stat a few seasons ago when they again had a beastly defense, like they went the whole regular season without giving up a rushing touchdown or something mad like that."

First time there Stewie? What did you think? Last time I was there it pissed down for hours. A roof would have been handy
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Just reading some of the previews for Fins v 49ers and came across this statement:- ""The 49ers' defense is on a similar streak against lesser opponents. The unit hasn't allowed a single point in the second half of a game since Week 7."" Thats mind blowing, right? Should be some game, specifically that side of the matchup."

"southbankbornnbred 10:29 - Interesting although I kind of knew it without actually knowing it, as already said the bnext couple of fixtures will tell us how our season will pan out but watching the Jets this season has been the best for a long time."

"holstebro, another good win and turner sticking to the run heavy gameplan. It was fitting that brian robinson had his first 100 yard rushing game on the day they honoured sean taylor. just tragic that the shitbag snyder allowed that joke of a statue (mannequin) to be displayed. robinson reminds me of riggo, and it's a miracle he avoided being killed and just months later is doing what he's doing. two tough games against new york next"

"Trunds - yep, two really tough games those. If I'm honest, I'm half-expecting two defeats and 7-6 going into the final stretch. But it makes a refreshing change even having meaningful games to play in December. In theory, we should have a couple of the injured players back, too. The roster is pretty bashed up at the moment."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Really interesting noises coming out of the Jets' training ground. Seems clear some players don't get on with Zach Wilson and find him hard work. Lots of thinly-veiled references to how they played as a team against the Bears and that they won 'as a group' without Wilson. They slightly over-celebrated with Mike White, too, which says a lot. White is never going to rip up the NFL, but he's a decent back-up and he's a popular and hard-working bloke. Wilson has a lot to do if he wants to improve as a QB and win his team-mates over."

"They were saying on Sky last night that you've got the Vikings after their bye week, and then the game after you've Bills after their bye week. That's a tough pair of fixtures!"

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Incredibly, the Jets will enter December 7-4 and with a bunch of meaningful games for the first time in a decade. Solid win against the Fields-less Bears at the weekend, 31-10 and Saleh's defense continues to thrive now that they've slimmed down the playbook and focused on what the coach did well in San Francisco. Still an issue at QB amid Wilson's slump in form and inability to read certain plays that he should spot by now. I still think Wilson might come good. But Mike White is becoming a half-decent back-up - and, for once, the rest of the talent on the roster is just getting on with it rather than worrying about who is behind centre. Got the run game going again after the loss of Hall. But the 9-2 Vikings next week will be another level of opponent. Can't see us winning that one."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Not the best performance Thursday but a big win Pretty confident we'll make the playoffs now Like the eagles and 49's I think we've got a great chance if we can stay healthy pollard and CeeDee seem to be getting better every week and D line are probably the best out there. It's important we keep winning and need to claw these two games back and try and win the division Our biggest danger is ourselves so many penalties again if we did that in the playoffs against better opposition we'd have no chance Can't see past the bills and chiefs in the AFC or the cowboys eagles or 49's in the NFC

"Absolute shit, isn't it. Especially that woman. She's just an awful presenter. I could genuinely do a better job than her. The concept is awful. Trying to be clever and funny and failing miserably, and at the same time because they are concentrating on that, nowhere near enough meat on the bones in terms of actual analysis and commentary on the game or the league. I'd rather just sit through adverts or a test card when they cut away from the games. It's genuinely one of the worst things I've ever seen on TV. They have to be giving it to channel 5 for free."
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Niners with their 3rd consecutive win and 3rd game in a row where the Defense have not allowed any points in the 2nd half. 1st in the West, currently ranked #3 seed. Good to see Kittle get some looks too."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"My fantasy luck finally run out after winning 8 straight - fairly predictable it'd be against Falace's team. Bad time to have 4 players on a bye week, especially both QB's. Had to take a massive gamble on Heinicke. To get within 2 points of winning is not too shabby considering. Who do we fancy as the Super Bowl teams at the moment? Chiefs probably, but can't see either the Eagles or the Vikings keeping up their momentum, so the NFC still looks too close to call for me."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Totally agree regarding Payne, would love to see him sign and stay with us. Him and Allen are playing really well. The Rookie Robinson always seems to make just the amount of yards he needs. Which keeps other teams honest. I really don't know why it works with Taylor at QB but it does. Still pisses me off that we lost that game to the Vikings. But recently I've really enjoyed watching us play (and finally win) The Giants game coming up is a huge test for us. If we can win that then there is no reason we can't go on and finish 2nd in the division. Making the playoffs is a real possibility where 5 weeks ago I would have written the season off."

"holstebro, it's great to see the penny drop for scott turner and him finally trust the run game. that, and how good the defence is playing. especially the d-line, payne has earned a new contract"

Yes I do Norf. Him and Fields have been great for me the last couple of weeks. Sadly in my view as I'm a Washington fan.
