Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (Music related)
Are they really getting desperate to fill that shit hole of a place or am I out of touch?
A couple of weeks ago they announced Catfish and the bottlemen will be playing there - never heard of them!
Now they have announced that imagine dragons are now performing - again never heard of them!
is it me or is something going on?
me, I would rather Springsteen play at our place! Much better music and out stadium is 10 time better!

Re: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (Music related)
their ground is a monument to how even if you do everything "properly", it can ultimately just sanitise the atmosphere out of place.
the only saving grace of our ground is that it's too shit to ignore for the most part. the wrecking ball will come one day, even if we're all pushing up daisies by then. hopefully by that day the culture of building atmosphere dampening cathedrals to corporate sterility has passed.
an all standing stand which was actually designed that way, with those little flappy bus shelter seats instead of the engorging thrones you get in modern grounds, punters packed in arse to elbow with a nose-bleed inducing RAKE would feel like a vertical wall of noise given you could fit an extra 50% of fans into that stand. stripping comfort away would have a naturally bolstering effect too. you make a lot more noise when you're standing, rubbing shoulders with the bloke next to you than you would in your own separate sedan chairs eating grapes.

Turns out they're playing at that stadium the same time as Oasis are playing at Wembley.
Good luck with that turn out.

We had Burna Boy (no, me either) play our stadium in June so as big as cunts as Spurs are, I'm not really going to laugh at them for their concert line ups.

Although obviously not in our case, it's all income so who cares? If I lived in the stadium I'd care but as I don't, whoever is using it just get s a shrug from me.

That's more about the fans than the stadia surely?
Except for our sithole.
Well yeah of course.
But honestly, football fans these days are pretty much all the same.
I doubt it’d be any different if we had Spurs’ ground.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (Music related)
Pretty much all of my Spurs supporting mates (I have a few) don’t like it…full of tourists (Koreans) and hard to get an atmosphere going. They all prefer the old gaff.
To be fair, my Arsenal mates feel the same about the Emirates.
And obvs all us WHU feel the same about our gaff.
So maybe people just don’t like change.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (Music related)
What I can’t fathom about the place is seeing as it was designed as a multi purpose stadium the trucks have to pull a U turn in the car park to drive onto the pitch. Give it a year or so and the surface will be ruined.
there is a bit of a peak as well so you have to sod about with the suspension or the trailer legs ground out.
rock & roll trucks ride very low.

imagine dragons are rock music for people who work in finance and think a food festival is a wild way to spend a weekend.
