Re: Biden withdraws
Thickle,
I gave concrete examples. If you're not only going to ignore them or pretend they didn't happen/aren't true, but also ridicule me for mentioning them, then you not only concede the argument but show yourself to be an idiot.
So there's no change there, then.

Re: Biden withdraws
Fwiw, I thoughts Trump's best 'bit' was right at the end after Cackles delivered her closing speech with all the bluster about all the great things she would do over the next three years if elected, to which Trump asked why she hasn't already done it?
Overall though, most of it seemed to be Trump standing there being berated by the teacher, also a bit strange that he never once looked over at her. He fiercely attacked and mocked Clinton in the debates in 2016, but there was nothing like that today?

Re: Biden withdraws
Seems that Trumps biggest mistake was to not question the cackles on her intended policy's.
Still, I said it before, no matter who wins, parts of America will explode in the aftermath of the election. Should Trump win, the antifa filth will kick off big time. Some of Trump's supporters will do likewise should cackles get placed in the white house.

Because they only fact-checked Trump and they fact checked him nit-pickingly or wrongly. For instance, Minnesota repealed the law which places a duty on doctors to attempt to save the life of failed abortion which results in a live birth. Trump reasonably characterised this as 'one state even allows abortion after birth'. Plus, he claimed that some states allow abortion up to the point of birth - 'seven, eight or even nine months'. The fact-checkers countered with, essentially, 'well, maybe so, but that's false because it doesn't happen very often'
Meanwhile Harris claimed to have travelled all over the world and she's only gone outside the US once while she has been VP and that was to one venue about 3 weeks ago. And she claimed, several times, that Trump was party to the 2025 manifesto, which he isn't, and she also claimed he made no exceptions to his policy on abortions for exceptional circumstances like rape, incest or the safety of the mother when he has done so several times. Plus, as he said, he'd passed it down to the states so it was fuck all to do with him anyway.
Seems you’re broadening the “fact-checking” to helping Trump at every available opportunity however convoluted it may be. And in some cases, like focusing on the 2025 manifesto apparently not being Trump’s but presumably the GOP’s, I doubt it would have been much of a help for him at all. As for the emotive trope about 9-month abortion, that was blatantly an attempt to disorient the audience and dealt with correctly by the moderators.

It's not a laughing matter. The one good thing about this thread is it's outed another left wing fruitcake

Trumpers playing the "won't somebody please thing of the cats!?" card with their debunked conspiracy theory, that Trump mentioned, in the debate, that Haitian immigrants are eating their neighbours cats.

Re: Biden withdraws
Harris turned the tables on Trump. Kept goading and having little digs at him and he couldn't stop himself taking the bait and going off into unhinged rants.

Fair enough, not seen it yet but by all accounts she did well. I called it wrong but i still believeci'm right about her generally. Just another puppet of the machine and a raging communist as well.
We all get things wrong sometimes mate. I'd never really heard her debate before today, but it never made any sense to me that someone who has had the career and positions she's had couldn't debate.

Re: Biden withdraws
The question has to be asked: why would fact checking harm a candidate if they were OK with the truth?

Re: Biden withdraws
IMHO Harris clearly won. However, whilst she achieved her main aim of not fucking up, I'm not sure she did any actual damage to Trump. Biased moderating and fact-checking from the ABC (Disney) moderators helped her, too.
Re: Biden withdraws
yep fairs fair she did well, was prepared and shame on Trump for not being equally so. Would have been nice if ABC had fact checked her at least once but eh.....Democracy dies in darkness and all that......not bad for a last minute appointed / unelected candidate, but lets not pretend we're not pretty fucked if she gets anywhere near the white house.

Re: Biden withdraws
Watched quite a bit of The Debate - I was informed on here a few months back by a couple of posters that Harris can't debate to save her life, I thought it sounded like nonsense at the time, with little evidence, and so it proved as she pretty much took Trump apart, as I thought she would.
