Re: Füllkrug...injured
He looks like someone's 40yo dad, so it comes as no surprise that he got a strain.
Hopefully Ings will get a proper go, but I expect him to get the cold shoulder for not leaving during the window.

Re: Füllkrug...injured
No he said that was the worst case scenario you daft cսnt so I think might is the key word
He's always suffered from achilles problems apparently, not really going to help him get up to speed though unfortunately

Re: Füllkrug...injured
C&B is like any of these others West Ham websites these days just pushing sensationalist, clickbait bollocks.
I read an article this morning on Hammers News that said Bowen should retire from International Football.

Re: Füllkrug...injured
Apparently it's a Calf/Shin/Heel Injury with 50% chance of playing on Saturday 14/09/2024. Yes, doesn't sound too bad.

Re: Füllkrug...injured
Sounds like the injury may not be as bad as first thought? Hopefully he's back sooner rather than later, hope he does work out for us but can understand those who have reservations.

He felt it during the Hungary game and finished and then again in the next training session. They are calling it an achilles strain. If it were a tear of any sort he wouldn't be walking. Hopefully not out long. Bowen has never excelled playing up top. He needs someone to open up space for him so he can cut in on his left.

Gut feeling is telling me this Fullkraut will end up being a disastrous signing.
Hope I’m wrong.

Re: Füllkrug...injured
Doesn't sound too serious as he was walking unhindered after the injury and was only a "doubt" for the next Germany game.
However this is West Ham so expect there to be complications and it turns into a career ending injury...

When a 34 year old converted winger and a 32 year old slow, aging 32 year old striker were our only options up top, the brains trust of 'guru Tim' and 'loser Lop' decide to lay out £27 million on a slow, aging 31 year old striker who has never played in the Premier League before.
What could possibly go wrong!

Re: Füllkrug...injured
Imagine my surprise to see us worried about our striker situation this season.
I'd get rid of all of them.

Re: Füllkrug...injured
Don’t mind the idea of Bowen through the middle flanked by Summerville & Kudus
Brazil play in Paraguay early Wednesday morning so might see Soler start with Alvarez & Rodriguez
Paqueta can come off the bench

I did think we would see Bowen up front before long though.
I actually think he's our best option there at the moment, he shouldn't be but he is.
Kudus is better on the right than the left.. We have Summerville for the left so covered there.
If only there was a good young striker within our reach who actually wanted to come to us.
Antonio has been globe trotting somewhere wasting his time and the Fulk is injured, so suspect we may well see Bowen there at Fulham. Will be interesting.
Re: Füllkrug...injured
Is it bad this makes me more confident for sat against Fulham?
Bowen up top, Kudus in his best position and give Summerville a start. That's a mouthwatering prospect.
Excited to see Summerville, looks hungry as anything and a real threat from the left. Deserves a chance to show us what he can do

Re: Füllkrug...injured
That wanker Nick from C&B is all over this looking rather happy with himself, as he has said a million times that he had reservations about this signing (as many did) so the cսnt now thinks he is being justified and even scaremongering that he could be out for a YEAR.
As for Ings, as long as he is looking OK in training giving him a chance may not seem as that daft as it seems if he has pace either side of him. That said, I don't see him getting a start.
