RIP

Joy and pain what a great track/anthem from back in the day...

I was bang into the soul / Jazz funk stuff when I was in my youth

I used to spend a fortune on us imports and also went to the clubs of the time watching the likes of Chris French and Steve Walsh on the decks.

Happy days and I keep meaning to organise a trip to one of the Caister soul reunions as they seem to be a lot of fun.

RIP FB

People forget how big the Jazz Funk scene was in the early 80s. The Royalty Southgate comes to mind.

One of the sounds of the 80s in London if you were a soul boy. Lovely fragile voice that sat perfectly on the live band as everyone else was going loud electronic. Great memories.

Just heard this, gutted, absolute legend

Saw him a few times at Hammersmith

His talent never really got the recognition it deserved

Joy and Pain is a classic

Sad indeed - recall many warm summer evenings/nights just driving around Hertfordshire with Maze playing on the cassette machine.📼
