I remember us playing Wolves at home in a night games in the dark days under Zola, we lost 1-3, Tomkins was in the very early stages of breaking into the team, a real young lad, and he made a monumental ricket for their opening goal, there was already unrest over there and the crowd were not happy.

Upson was our experienced captain, and it was the absolute moment when he should've put an arm round the lad, or at least a word of encouragement. Instead, he bowed his head down, not a peep out of him towards the lad or the rest of the team to gee them up.

He was a decent player at the start, but a shocking skipper. Flaky as you like.
