gph 10:07 Fri Mar 15 Global warming is claimed to have started at about the time that practice stopped. You may have stumbled upon something here...
Re: Do you believe in God?
We've had a decline from when Catholics and Protestants were taking it in turns to burn each other?

Re: Do you believe in God?
"Rio’s. No, there isn’t a scrap of evidence for any god and there never can be. All gods are claims of the supernatural and, by definition, that would be beyond our powers of investigation and examination. Evidence must be testable, repeatable and falsifiable. The Abrahamic God has a history, that issupported by evidence and it certainly isn’t as described in the Bible."

Re: Do you believe in God?
"Wils 8:03 Fri Mar 15 I've actually done that over the last 25 years of my working life. The 3 countries at the top of the list of where I'd like to live, in no particular order, are Thailand, Indonesia and Oman. No way would I consider living in a country that is empowered with ""Christian values"", which is not something I would have said 30 years ago. Those ""Values"" have proactively debased and destroyed much of the society that lives by such tenets."

"Moncurs Putting Iron 11:16 Fri Mar 15 Re: Do you believe in God? riosleftsock 1:28 Fri Mar 15 'Spot on. Fundamentalists come in many forms and none of them are acceptable.' riosleftsock 1:28 Fri Mar 15 'do have a problem with people who try to ram their religion down your throat or ridicule your religion because they don't believe.' Both true. However, I do enjoy threads like this where thick people come on and try to use their disbelief in God as evidence of superior intelligence."
Re: Do you believe in God?
"""Which book of religion is the right one for running countries?"" The Bible. Have a look around and find a country that isn't Christian that you would like to live in. And have a look at the decline in the Christian countries as they become less Christian."

Re: Do you believe in God?
"""You can't run a country by a book of religion"" Western civilisation would have happened regardless of Christianity it seem then. And it's decline correlating to the rise of atheism is just coincidence."
Re: Do you believe in God?
"You can't run a country by a book of religion Not by a heap or a lump or a smidgen Of foolish rules of ancient date Designed to make you all feel great While you fold, spindle and mutilate Those unbelievers from a neighboring state That's a NO btw"
Re: Do you believe in God?
"""It's clearly a load of bollocks, even a lot of religious people realise that."" Oh."

"It's clearly a load of bollocks, even a lot of religious people realise that. Whatever gets you through the day is fine by me. But please, keep it to yourself and keep it out of politics."
Re: Do you believe in God?
"riosleftsock 1:28 Fri Mar 15 I agree with you except for the last line. I looked at the Christian religion and made a positive decision that it's absolute bollocks. Years later when my teenage daughter dated a Muslim for a couple of weeks, I bought a book on Muhammed written centuries previously. It became apparent Muhammed was a clever con man and that book is now refuted by Muslim authorities apparently. I haven't studied every religion but there is plenty of rather compelling evidence that to worship a god takes misplaced faith and says more about that person than someone that has seen through the centuries of bullshit. Let's just say that indoctrination is a powerful tool with which to control human beings behaviour..."

Re: Do you believe in God?
"norwaytips 11:01 Thu Mar 14 You may be confusing evidence with proof. There is evidence if you choose to look for it, there is proof but it relies on faith. I have no problem with people who do not believe or who do believe, its for you or not. I do have a problem with people who try to ram their religion down your throat or ridicule your religion because they don't believe."

Re: Do you believe in God?
"Not at all. Belief in any god, is just created by indoctrination. That’s why Hindus have Hindu children, Muslims have Muslim children and Christians have Christian children. There is as much evidence for the Abrahamic God; YHWH: as there is for Odin, Ra, Baal, Thor, Apollo, Zeus, or any other deity: none at all."
