Weekly Acca

Post stubbo »

Currently in a weekly Acca league with some mates. Wondered if anyone else does a weekly Acca as a ritual, and if the 'hive mind' of WHO can come up with a set of better justified selections than I usually manage on my own.

Last week had a 16/1 5-fold come in. This week...relying on Celtic to trigger the Acca Insurance and get my stake back!

Anyone else got a tradition, process/method, or history of success...and who's in your Acca next weekend?

Not in an acca but am in line to win £800 if Liam Davies wins his fight later tonight against Masoud within 3 Rounds or £1600 if he irons him out in Round 1.

So I had a good week and a win last week.

This week am on:

Liverpool
Falkirk
East Fife
Leeds
West Ham

Returns 23/2 odds, with Ladbrokes Acca Insurance. Obviously West Ham the team most likely to let it down.

Also on an 11 team FA Cup Acca with a £1 free bet.

Backing:
Notts County, Bristol Rovers, Burton Albion, Chesterfield, Reading, Stevenage, Stockport, Wycombe, Rotherham, Northampton, and Charlton.

Newcastle let me down at the weekend. Cashed out before the Villa/Man U game, limiting my losses to a few (less than 30) pence.

Did Chelsea let him down?

I think on that sort of return, I’d definitely see it as 17 large earned and not 110k missed, that’s a superb result for him. Is he happy with it?

My Sons mate does a £25 acca every week, last week he backed 10 Saturday games and 2 Sunday games which would net him £125K

At the end of Saturday ALL of his 10 had come in, and he wash offered a cashout of £21K, he took 17 of it (which I must admit I didn't know you could do) and let 4K roll over til Sunday, he didn't get the first Sunday game

I get the 'Outlook' and use their section where they rate the teams and also a rating for goals expected.

usually there are six or seven teams in the English and Scottish leagues, who are only 20 or less in their ratings between them, eg.
Kelty Hearts 225, Cowdenbeath 245.

I do a five match acca (max) based on the above. Sometimes there's only two or three, bit still do the double/treble.

It isn't bad over a season.

The odds roughly worked out around 33/1 so represented good value compared to your other accas where normally one of the dead certs lets you down

I would pick games where the two teams were evenly matched and used to enjoy a fair amount of success with probably a one in five or six strike rate .

Good luck with your Saturday selections chaps.

The horse tip you gave out the other day finally finished the race this morning...!!

Mike Oxsaw" wrote: 01 Sep 2024, 08:43 I've got a 5-fold with a couple of mates. PL games only. 26 quid a pop to add a bit of fun to the season.

At the moment I suggest the 5 games between teams that are furthest apart in the league but plan to modify that to include current form pretty soon (just got to convert some VBA Macros to LibreBasic).

I grabbed a complete PL history (excel file) last year and am considering if dragging any info out of that would help.
Ours is English Leagues, Scottish Leagues, European Matches involving English teams, and International matches.

One per week, minimum 4 fold, max 5 fold.

Tending to look at combination of form this season, odd between 1.5 and 2.5, and favouring home sides where possible.

Do wonder about delving into looking at current injuries, xG etc but would need a lot of background knowledge or analysis time to make that viable.
