Lopetegui (sacked 8.1.2025)

Post maverick180 »

I was thoroughly looking forward to the start of this season

Was also prepared that things might take some time and wasn't expecting miracles over night What I didn't expect was a manager who after spending 6 weeks with the total dross he'd been left by Moyes would deem them fit to start in a premier league game And low and behold all of them played absolute shit

We're now 1 game in and none of our new players are any closer to bedding in or learning anything from their new team mates cos they barely spent a second on the pitch, half of them not at all I think it's gonna take somewhere between 6-10 games before we see the team anyone with an ounce of sense would play cos this bloke can't identify shit when he see's it I thought we was handed a miracle at half time when we went in level and low and behold he changed nothing I'm sure people are gonna make excuses for him and say it's too early to judge

But from what I've just seen today, this cսnt is David Moyes in a mission impossible mask

Also looks like Lopetegui is vindicated jumping ship at Wolves when he did due to false promises regarding investing properly in the Team what with their owners selling some of their best since he left and O'Neil has taken over. So many were quick to judge that Lopetegui was the problem when in actual fact it was their owners all along. Rock bottom is where Lopetegui took Wolves off from, finishing above us within just half a season and now they sit rock bottom of the League once again. Zero coincidence.

Well managed today you utterly clueless, crusty, dago cսnt. 👏

I mean, cruising 4-1 to victory (off the back of a well earned point away at tricky Brentford - See today's result there) and could have been by many more whilst carrying the likes of hopeless Antonio and Soucek is no mean feat. So fuck knows what he was thinking continuing to believe in them...

I do want him sacked

the Idea that I get off on West Ham losing defeats the whole point of this thread and why I don’t want him as manager

I feel we could do much better under a more competent manager who knows what he’s doing

although I’m not sure if Sullivan could ever deliver such a manger as he only seems to pick managers that are out of work and Salthouse clients

After I said you wanted us to lose, you said wanted him sacked so you could enjoy watching us again.

He ain’t getting sacked by winning is he?

Try not to be too disappointed about winning.

Where did I say that? You don’t half make some nonsense up.

You’re the one who came in here proclaiming him to be the worst manager ever etc etc.

All I’ve done is told you how ridiculous that statement is after 6 (or 7) games.

You must be gutted we won.

Yeah Goose I’m gonna disappear for ages cos we beat Ipswich at home and therefore everything is great and the new manager is the Messiah
for a bloke who claims I’m jumping the gun saying this manager is shit, it’s then amazing how you think one result proves he isn’t

Sir Alf" wrote: 05 Oct 2024, 22:37 Interesting game again today but obviously far more enjoyable than the 3 previous home fixtures we’ve all had to experience 🥴

Mckenna said we were more direct than all the teams they have faced so far this season. So the long diagonals over the top seem likely to continue to be part of our identity ( Moyes employed them a lot albeit with little or no build up play at the back or thru midfield ) and that perhaps explains why Fullkrug was purchased? Perhaps we will be a bit of a hybrid team with some build up and passing out from the back but mixed with long balls to front men?   So early impression of JLo tactics is that we wont ever be like most of the top sides in the Prem and be playing “tippy tappy” and endlessly recycling the ball back and forth across the pitch trying to stretch teams to fashion openings for forwards.

One of the positives today though was that we pressed far better (especially our front men ) than we have to date but Im still not convinced that will handle the pace and movement of central midfields of better teams. For example, Rodruigez was good in possession today but is so one paced. A central midfield containing 2 from him, Alvarez, Paqueta, Soucek or Soler will imho still struggle to get and keep the ball against the top 6 level sides.  Spurs will be stern test in our next game as they move the ball very quickly with lots of movement and pace. Based on today, Paqueta shouldnt be starting as he has become such a liability in possession and not work hard enough at times . Soucek was good tofay but still think he, too, should not be starting against Spurs as he will be passed around to easily.   Then you think about Alvarez and Guido and they seem just too slow as a pair? In fact, Soler looks the quickest of the bunch but his game is not allegedly about beimg a ball winner or pressing.

Anyway, I suppose we should just enjoy getting a nice home win but a real test of whether we have finally started to “gel” will have to wait until that next away game at Spuds. Give them too much time and space and we could easily get another  .

He has silenced the knicker wetter's for now, but lets hope he kicks on rather than see us revert back to a confused and unsure rabble we have been at times in these early games.

Maverick180180 wrote: 05 Oct 2024, 14:10 I strongly suspect we won’t beat Ipswich today having seen he’s gone with Antonio and 2 defensive midfielders again with Summerville on the bench
it’s this constant poor team selection that is what I base my opinion on that this is the worst bloke to ever take charge of our club, it’s the most standard of all procedures to pick your strongest starting XI
his starting XI is awful

if you hired an electrician to do some work round your house and within the first 5 minutes it became abundantly clear he didn’t have a clue what he’s doing, you wouldn’t let him continue in the hope that he’s suddenly gonna somehow know what to do
this is exactly the situation at West Ham until we sack this crusty dago cսnt
Awkward 😬

I don’t think we’ll be hearing from maverick for a week or two.

It really is hard to take you seriously,

Moyes's demise still pains you so much still doesn't it... that you forget just how poor we were last season, give us 3 games we dominated and got what we deserved last year... we scraped results with really poor performances... none of us except you and your blind Moyes gang thought it could be sustained... and thats unfortunately how it ended..

Go camp about with your Trump friends... everything you say sounds like a line from a Carry On film...
Ooh if I was Kudus Id be fuming
are you actually Charles Hawtry... thats what I imagine you look like 🤣

Nutsin wrote: 04 Oct 2024, 20:26 I don’t remember getting so badly beaten by Chelsea last year.

Oh here he is again Nutsack still pining for the Moyes years..

but as you cant recall.. we played Chelsea at the start of last season when they were in pretty mixed form they still mullered us but we somehow came out 3-1 winners... they then thrashed us 5 nil at the end of the season... you dont recall that then?
And for a second time you have said we were "flying" till Xmas ... we were not flying, we were high up the table, yes but to everyone who actually watched us and knows football's surprise as we were not playing well and were lucky in a lot of games like the Chelsea game at home and we were saying it couldnt be sustained and the luck ran out...
