Nurse Course of antibiotics making me feel nauseous

I’ve just been put on a course of antibiotics, 3 a day for 7 days and they are making me nauseous. 
Has anyone else experienced this? And what did you find works best to combat this.

I appreciate what you are saying and I’m inclined to agree with you.  But I have been really really unwell and it has dragged on for a fortnight. 
curiously enough the nausea seems to have passed though.

How sick are you? I've turned them down for the best part of 20 years as I want them to work when I really do need 'em.

I’d make sure I was getting plenty of probiotics as it’s probably wreaking havoc with your gut flora. So, yoghurt, kimchi, Polish pickled cabbage or gherkin - that kind of thing. Sorry, no vodka mind you ;)

I've had this. The solution was to have them delivered, as an out patient, via an IV drip every day.

Pain in the arse if you've got a life, but being a retired old git was no problem for me.

Try eating a few teaspoonfuls of proper greek yoghurt after the tablet if you feel nauseous

I get nausea and diareah whatever antibiotics I take, the worst by far are Metronidazole for tooth infections. It is a common side effect but if it is really making you feel unwell you need them changed. Do not stop taking them until you have consulted your GP.

What abs are they ?

Metradoxinole can.have bad side effects

 A dentist gave me them together with amoxicillin and I nearly passed out.within minutes of taking them
