Good players don't always make good managers.
Our own Sir Bob - supreme on the pitch but couldn't manage a bag of chips.

The two foreign managers of our national team never did as well as the three mentioned above. This being the case I cannot see why we could not have stuck by a local to manage us.
That local being WHO?
Thank fuck that Johnny foreigner Guardiola wasn't interested. cսnt couldn't hold a candle to Potter.

Re: Zer Germans win.!
Mind you been a good few years since there has been a top draw English manager, maybe have to go all the way back to Robson?
Why is that, plenty of our better players give it a go once they hang up the boots and you would think playing under some of the best in their careers it would have rubbed of but even the latest crop with the likes of Gerrard, Fat Frank, Rooney etc. have all given it a go and fallen flat on their arse.
Eddie Howe is maybe the best English manager right now but compared to other top managers around the world he is bang average.
About time we produced, bit like the national team!!!

Re: Zer Germans win.!
As someone that follows England just about everywhere, I couldn't care less that he's German. I'd choose an Englishman but is there one as good as him? Nope.
I'm relieved that Carsley showed his true colours last week. Howe? He's English and that's it. Potter's Brighton played some nice football but obviously the suspicion is that was more down to their system than him.
Plus I've just looked up Tuchel's home town, which looks a pretty place. If we win something I will go there for a weekend to celebrate him.

We've been down the foreign manager route before and it didn't work either time.
TBF, we've also been down the English manager route, numerous times.
This approach also didn't work.
FWIW, I would probably have approached Howe (perhaps the FA did?), although not too sure he wouldn't have ended up as waistcoat MkII.

He won the European Cup with someone else’s team and Mrs Gaffer would win the league with PSG & Bayern.

Should have gone for Howe or Potter.
Can you ever imagine the Germans appointing an English manager.
Admittedly there are very few good ones (2) and Potter is hardly a world beater but think him or Howe would have done a good job.

A fucking Kraut! I feel sick.
i despise the clueless cunts who run, or should that be ruin, the FA.
I’d sooner have Southgate back than this weirdo.

I prefer national managers for national teams. So who should the FA have employed Mex?
Eddie Howe
This is uninspiring, luckily I don't really give a shit about the national team so I won't lose sleep over it
