Lopetegui (sacked 8.1.2025)
I was thoroughly looking forward to the start of this season
Was also prepared that things might take some time and wasn't expecting miracles over night What I didn't expect was a manager who after spending 6 weeks with the total dross he'd been left by Moyes would deem them fit to start in a premier league game And low and behold all of them played absolute shit
We're now 1 game in and none of our new players are any closer to bedding in or learning anything from their new team mates cos they barely spent a second on the pitch, half of them not at all I think it's gonna take somewhere between 6-10 games before we see the team anyone with an ounce of sense would play cos this bloke can't identify shit when he see's it I thought we was handed a miracle at half time when we went in level and low and behold he changed nothing I'm sure people are gonna make excuses for him and say it's too early to judge
But from what I've just seen today, this cսnt is David Moyes in a mission impossible mask

Forget how he did in Spain, he didn't tear up any trees with Wolves and that should tell you all you need to know.
The real problem lies with the club ownership who have settled for sub par time and again. This was a lazy appointment and probably to avoid paying someone decent or another club compensation. They got reasonably lucky with Moyes results wise (although had to sacrifice our playing style for it) but they seem to double down on struggling managers even when the wheels appear to be coming off. It took them an agonizingly long time to dispense with Pellegrini and Bilic and only when it became blatantly apparent we were going down with them. The only way Lop goes is next Feb or March if we're in and out of the bottom 3 and even then dont bank on it.

Re: Lopetegui
Kilman has been okay, although apparently he tops the PL for the amount of time/distance walked this season.
Fullkrug - everything worth saying has been said already.
my issue is not sorting the centre midfield. We can’t play the way Lopetegui wants with that midfield.

No I just dont like twats coming on here making out like they were the originators of the most embarrassing cringey phrase hurled at West Ham fans in general by the wanky fringe and media. Like we've never heard it before...
Any true West Ham fan would never utter those words, its absolutely pathetic and so is anyone who defends its use..
Oh and I wasnt wrong ... Moyes's time was up, Im not saying Lopetegui is a roaring success and frankly I didnt want him either, but he is the manager and he needs enough time, but he also needs to start showing an improvement.... somethings not right!
But are you saying Moyes should've stayed...

Kilman is a terrible signing. Absolute waste of money, as was Fullkrug. Seeing as he doesn’t rate Soler Summerville and Luis Guilherme enough to make an impact, he has spent 150m for no improvement in any area.
We’re such a mess I’d like to see Lopetegui, Steidten and Sullivan all fuck off.
I said all summer the transfer window was a disaster and could see how obvious it was that 'Loser Lop' and 'Guru Tim' had spunked a shitload of money on average players.
£40 million on Kilman
£27 million on a crocked 31 year old German forward
£25 million on a punt on an unproven 18 year old Brazilian kid.
Scandalous.
The simple minded amongst the fanbase fell hook, line and sinker for the 'razzle dazzle' in the summer.

Re: Lopetegui
Nope. Southgate is just the next generation Moyes.
Frankly I'd rather finish 15th-17th and stick with Lopetegui than go back to Moyes.
We're at least trying to play football and win games now l, even though it's going wrong at times.
The only thing that would take me back to Moyes would be if you could guarantee we'd go down with Lopetegui, and could guarantee we wouldn't with Moyes AND that it was only as Caretaker until the end of the season and then we'd go again on a new manager appointment. Only circumstances I'd even consider the Scottish wanker back at our Club.

Re: Lopetegui
It’s got fuck all to do with being careful what you wished for
no West Ham fan wished for more boring football which is exactly what this moron keeps dishing up
We’ve got absolutely zero pace in the centre of midfield
he’s insistent on playing 2 defensive midfielders, which is massively detrimental to us attacking wise, the only reason you’d play two defensive midfielders would be to help shore up the defence, but it isn’t helping
Paqueta plays in this position for Brazil but Lopetegui refuses to give him a go there
Orford possibly posseses the pace we need in that position but there’s no way on this planet Lopetegui will give him a go
He needs to go now
but unfortunately the only person worse at this club than the manager is the prick who could sack him but won’t

Mate of mine just said he’d have Southgate over Lopetegui. Anyone here agree with that?

Re: Lopetegui
Those saying "get Moyes back"....do fuck off. Do you have no pride? It was time for that dour club killing cսnt to go and the state of our squad is largely at his door.
But this mess is on Sullivan who went cheap as always. As someone I used to know always said.....Pay Cheap, Pay Twice. Well that is coming home to roost.
But do remember the choices weren't:
1. Moyes
2. Lopetegui
There were MANY other managers in the world we could have gone and got, including some like the Brighton manager who ended up in the PL.
But Sullivan is a prick and only hires freebies. Now we're fucked as we really are looking at freebies as alternatives (and the one worth having has just gone to England).
At this point I'd be looking at Terzic as the right profile of manager to go get.

Re: Lopetegui
I did say many times last season to the Moyesiah haters to be careful what you wish for!
I'm not sure about Lopeetegui, but will still give him time as we have had tough start to season,4 away games all local derbies and first 3 homes games against teams who will finish in top 5,can't moan about Ipswich game
Sacking him is pointless and the usual knee jerk reaction for the doom and gloomers
Manure game is massive now for us!

I told you all from day one that this geezer is a total fraud.
Get him out for the sake of our season. Else relegation ensues.
