So it turns out this "aspiring architect" was a gangland member who had shot someone in a nightclub a few days before he refused to co-operate with the police. Quelle surprise.

It's a joke that the firearms officer was suspended from his job and brought to trial. Thank goodness the jury saw sense.

Did he really think he was going to get away, even if he had got past the police who were stopping him.
He had a choice and he made the wrong one.
One less scumbag out and about and the streets of London are a little bit safer. As said, hope the suspended cop gets compensated for whatever mental grief he's had to suffer.

What is it with that community and defending career criminals. They never take responsibility.

After seeing the video, I don't blame them for shooting him. If a bunch of coppers have their guns pointed at you, not complying and trying to drive your car into them and their vehicles is pretty much suicide by cop.

Slipped on the clutch - lol. He was only moving the car as he wanted to make sure he wasn’t blocking the road for other citizens.

The country has lost yet another "aspiring architect"?

I truly fear for the future of the building industry if this keeps up.

I used to work with someone who was a former armed Police Officer. He said you have a split second to decide what is your best course of action in those situations. You have to put first, members of the public, your colleagues and yourself, etc. Imagine the stress and pressure you could go through on a daily basis. As for the victim, distressing as it is for his family, why would you attempt to escape If you have done nothing wrong?

I am so glad the man got off and he should now sue the Met and CPS for succumbing to BLM hysteria. Perhaps the officers should have run away like in Leeds.

Apparently some fella on BBC news last night was talking about it and compared it to George Floyd who was shot by police!  Of course George Floyd wasn't shot but by all accounts that doesn't matter to the BBC!

Would love to see them protest and have the CPS put a load of them in jail.
Should they happen to riot in a similar fashion to the summer Sir Kweer Starmer's response will be very interesting...

He got caught in possession and paid the price - a bit like our midfielders.

So, to be fair, he wouldn’t have looked out of place, playing for us.

The best possible outcome was getting this absolute vermin off the streets permanently.

Racist cunts. Black lives matter, but not when it’s their own killing / shooting each other…no accountability, permanent victim mentality, we won’t be silenced etc.

Would love to see them protest and have the CPS put a load of them in jail.

Understand the car was followed as it had been linked to a shooting a few days before
The driver didn’t follow police instructions and tried to flee by ramming the police vehicles
Given that & the nature of the suspected offence involved a bullet in the head was entirely the correct response

LBC this morning they had a ex met police firearms officer and a BLM activist.

The BLM activist was saying that the police should have shot the tyres out or shot the guy in the shoulder so he couldn't drive.

The ex firearms officer just told her 'this isn't a hollywood film'.

This won't be the end of it, his family have taken no accountability for his criminal activity or his driving when he was shot and have made it about race.
