Sacked in the morning…
He got sacked in the morning…
Haven’t seen anyone else post this yet so I will.
Frankly I would rather they kept Ten Hag for the rest of the season but there you are.

Re: Sacked in the morning…
I get all the back story, I just think he'd be a right thick twat to be disappointed he got overlooked if Amorim was Man Utds stand out manager they really want, which appears to be the case.

Tend to agree with Manuel, and don't forget that RVN was at Man U during the best of the Fergie years, so will be looking at the club with the rose-tinted specs of a former player.

Re: Sacked in the morning…
Understand after talking to us Amorim also talked to Liverpool, Chelsea & Bayern about their vacancies.
Racking up the air miles
If he is in the frame to replace Pep in a year or two he’d frankly be crazy to go to Man Utd.
Will have to deal with competing while they are financing a new stadium & having to clear out a squad of overpaid failures before he can even think of rebuilding

Re: Sacked in the morning…
And no chance at all of getting Amorim? Then why did he bother paying for his own private jet over during the business end of the season, whilst going for the League title before a huge game against Porto with a contract that has a buy out clause and didn’t seek to get a new more lucrative contract out of Sporting Lisbon? You don't make moves like that unless there was a chance it could happen.

Apparently Amorim had agreed terms with the Club to join and even paid for his own private jet to travel over, whilst still Sporting Lisbons Manager challenging for trophies. And yet our twat of a Chairman decided at the last minute to cancel plans to get him as he wouldn't be prepared to cough up a paltry (in the grand scheme of things) £8M compo to release him from Sporting Lisbon.
Sure, I make no apologies for liking Lopetegui for the work he's previously done and am happy he's here but out of the two, I would have jumped at the chance for us to get Amorim so to set us up for the long term and a manager who I regard as one of the very best around in the game these days.
Not that I'm one bit shocked to hear it and expect nothing less from our short-sighted, short armed and long pocketed miser of a midget.
Fuck I cannot wait to finally see the back of that incompetent cսnt.....If you believe that then you're a fool. No chance was he ever joining us. This is just mischief from a wanky source that has form for wanting us to fail.
With Sullivan's track record?? Yep, definitely believable. You'd be more foolish to believe it wasn't.

I know I will get berated for this but I honestly think where ever he has been, he has been in the middle of a car crash of a football club that is not necessarily his fault.
I thought he would have been a good England manager and equally, would love to see him back where he belongs.
I cannot believe anyone bit on that.

Re: Sacked in the morning…
Does make you wonder why Sullivan actually bought the club. Does he even like West Ham let alone be a supporter? Penny pinching on Amorim and Duran yet paying over the odds for bizarre signings like Fulkrug. Absolute madness.

Are you kidding? Tuchel won the Champions League with exactly the same team he had to work with. He has been an abject failure everywhere he's ever managed. he was a luxury player for Chelsea who were one of the few teams that could afford to compensate for him with world class players all around him. England's inability to do this is why he was pony for the national team.

No he played the majority of his career at Chelsea. It's West Ham that is engrained in him, like all the family!

Re: Sacked in the morning…
Just as with Duran, I expect we are about to see Amorim show what might have been. Its the story under Sullivan. The “small man” psychological hang up he has means “he knows best”. Its taken 14 years to get a DOF but he still takes advice from Salthouse who probably told him Duran and Amorim were a risk and that he
knew just the coach he needed. Pure coincidence he was one of Salthouse’s clients ( cough, fvckin cough )

Re: Sacked in the morning…
From the Guardian:
Rúben Amorim is set to be confirmed as Manchester United’s manager after Sporting said the Premier League club were ready to pay his release clause of €10m (£8.3m).
...
nited entered talks with Amorim’s representatives after sacking Erik ten Hag on Monday, offering a three-year deal worth about £6.5m a season.
There is simply no way we were ever seriously in for him. It is unreal how skint we are as a club.

No, we'll then be stuck with his two mini me cսnt sons playing real life championship manager. That ridiculous solar panel initiative from communist Khan means we'll never get rid of them

So like I said on the other thread….Amorim to Man Utd.
Embarrassing we went for him and ended up with the most overrated manager in world football, that’s even worse than the clueless boring misery we let go.
We must be the worst run wealthy club in world football.

Re: Sacked in the morning…
Sully was never getting Amorim. He was Tim's man, would have cost money, and would have been demanding of proper support and ownership. Plus he was on the way up.
Doesn't come close to the Sullivan profile.
As the poll shows, we all know Sullivan is the problem...but the owner is the hardest role in a club for a fan base to do anything about.

Moyes must be the obvious choice surely…After enjoying Summervilles joy and taking FULL advantage of the chance to bait Manchester United colleagues at work, I did ponder if we might not, ruefully come to view it as a sliding door moment whereby, when we both look back later, they offloaded their manager and went forward and we kept ours and struggled or worse for the Season.
Ten Hag was a dead man walking. Long before kick off on Sunday. And Amorin was always going somewhere else. The moment he met Sullivan. There's no sliding doors anywhere in this equation.
