Well, El Flop needs fucking off tonight.
Sergio Conceicao isn't working, worth a go?

Re: The Next West Ham Manager.
For me Steidten has done well. He’s had to handle an impossible boss that knows he can do the job better as well as helping two managers he didn’t choose.
Forget the public face put out on the official site. No one tells the absolute truth at bullshit press conferences for the club.

Of course not, but you don't then go and say things like "After the first meeting we had with Julen, I was 100 per cent convinced he was the right coach for us". He could have towed the company line saying pleasantries without going over the top the way he did in discussing Lopetegui in public.

But to be fair he can hardly say anything else in that situation. You can’t say ‘Yeah I didn’t want this guy and there’s no way our philosophies align, but ultimately the owner refused to stump up for my choice and decided to go with a cheaper option his mate recommended regardless of how badly things might go.’ Unless he’s actively looking for the sack.

Yeah I know Brighton lost but they didn't half give Liverpool a game and despite City's injury list Bournemouth were excellent with that Milos Kerkez at left back giving the team everything Emerson isn't giving us at the moment.
Talking of Brighton, living near there I know so many Brighton fans and the turnaround at that club is incredible, however when Potter was there an awful lot of fans didn't actually rate him that highly. Yes he was a step up from Hughton but I was told that too many promising attacking situations ended up fruitless and some felt that Potter ran out of ideas when Brighton were in the last third which was of course his main problem at Chelsea. That said I would give him a go ahead of JL as he seems to run out of ideas the whole length of the pitch!
You can tell Brighton just have a solid foundation behind the scenes and fabulous recruitment for players and managers. Doesn’t seem to matter who they lose or sell, they remain strong and they have an identity and philosophy stretching long term at that club from top to bottom which they believe in and stick to. Their owner clearly has faith in the senior management he’s installed on the footballing side. The absolute opposite of how Sullivan does things.

Re: The Next West Ham Manager.
Jury is out for sure while things aren’t working but in truth the bloke has had to do everything with one if not both his hands tied behind his back the whole time he’s been here.
Both managers have been not his choice and an really bad fit, and seemingly wanting things at odds with what he’s trying to do and the owner is clearly cutting his nuts off if he doesn’t agree with any decision. You simply can’t run a successful business or make a success of your own role like that.
Honestly unless he’s been promised better things or more control by someone else on the board when Sullivan fucks off, I can see him leaving pretty soon anyway so it’s probably not something we will likely have to worry about for long.

Moyes recent performance was quite poor with long spells of relegation form and bad decisions on signings - including saying yes and no to them. Added to that Moyes wasn't pushed out. He refused to renew his contract under Steidten.
If Moyes was to return Steidten would go one way or the other and I think he is key to our future success. Lopetegui also brought a whole squad of coaches that would have to go too and Sullivan will resist that....
Remember that Steidten's appointment came about because Kretinski, Tripp Smith, the Gold family and the rest of the board wanted to avoid the repeated costly mistakes signing too many expensive failures or passing up on what are later proven successes elsewhere. I suspect that it was also a board decision to minimise Sullivan's acting like a DOF with his agent friends is my take on it..
Lopetegui's appointment was clearly down to Sullivan overriding Steidten's choice of Amorim. This will have further confirmed to the rest of the board that Sullivan's judgement on football matters is best left to a professional and not a 75 or 76 year old chairman that will not be around forever.
Hopefully it will strengthen Steidten's hand that Sullivan's choice is struggling but Moyes is the last person we will get imho. Lopetegui will stay while Sullivan is around unless there is a real danger of relegation.. As useless as he seems I still believe that Lopetegui would be more effective than returning for more Moyes. We must get a decent striker in for January and then this team will be nowhere near the relegation zone in the second half of the season and we will start to move well up the table is my take....
Steidten can fuck off for all I care, the grinning cսnt. Sick of this bloke getting a free pass. Pearl diver my fucking ringpiece.

Re: The Next West Ham Manager.
We just keep shooting ourselves in the foot. Every time we look as though we might be on the up, we fuck it up.
This time it’s the managerial appointment. Sullivan has gone cheap option again and the season is already a write off.
Yes we needed a huge rebuild after Moyes leaving but we’re still crying out for pace in midfield, cover at fullbacks and above all a striker.
Yes we have to give Lopetegui time but let’s be straight here, he doesn’t look like turning this around. He has no real playing style, doesn’t know his best starting line up and the players are showing no confidence.
I really wanted Moyes out, hated the negative tactics, but I don’t see that we have improved at all with a new coach and all that money spent in the summer.
We won’t go down but fuck me, is that the sum of our owners’ ambition again?
Time for change.

This is it. He’s always acting with such a short term mindset. Oh this is more expensive now so I’ll dismiss it. Every decision at my place of work which has been against all advice taken using that philosophy has always ended up badly and more expensive than just opening the wallet a little more initially.
buy cheap buy twice.
Oh and add of course he’s got to recruit through his old boys club as well rather than objectively from the whole pool of candidates.

Re: The Next West Ham Manager.
Pay £9 million for Thomas Frank and pay off Loppy. That might be the best £9 million we’ve spent in recent years and besdes we regularly lose 10-20 million on poor transfer business.
But our owner would have to admit he was wrong so wint happen. It will take a descent to the bottom 3 for anything to happen. Then it will be the next cheapest out if work coach with some “bling” factor on his resume

Re: The Next West Ham Manager.
If we do make a change during the season, he's my pick as well. Was impressed with how he go on all of last season too, but now he really is motoring convincingly beating both Arsenal and Man City within the past fortnight whilst playing decent Football, as well as a creditable draw in between that against Emery's high flying Villa away from home. And he's even managed it on limited resourced too by comparison which is also very impressive.

Ha! I meant with getting Amorim in after sacking him. But yes they fucked about for an eternity over sacking him or not. Was like the fucking gold blend adverts.
Re: The Next West Ham Manager.
The only certainty is that any success will be in spite not because of Sullivan.
We cannot really fault lack of soending though. That was the thing under Brown and Cearns’s.
With Sullivan in the last 10 years its about poor judgement, decision making and his psychology ( need to not feel small and inadequate ) that has seen us waste so much money in recruitment of players and coaches.
If Brighton had our buying power / budget , I suspect they would be in or around the top 4 most seasons.
Nothing changes until Sullivan dies. And even that wont necessarily mean an upturn in fortunes because we know little or nothing about his sons and what they might do. Only winners at West Ham ate Brady ( overpaid ) and agents Will Salthouse and Mackays etc

Re: The Next West Ham Manager.
I don’t know about that, Simon. It makes for a pretty miserable day out for the supporters if we intend to moan a lot before the ball has been kicked.
The board is made up of shareholders so they can’t be sacked. Terry Brown was an employee so he could have been sacked but all those ‘Brown Out’ protests just made Upton Park a miserable place to be for a long time and he never got sacked - in fact it was all completely ignored by the owners.
Bring back Eggy! Best owners we ever had.

Re: The Next West Ham Manager.
The only way it may change is if the heat is on Sullivan in the grounds, “sack the board” etc. Then he may look for a fall guy, possibly two, so that might be Loppy and Tim out the door. A bit of booing at half and full time is water off a ducks back to him.

Re: The Next West Ham Manager.
Gank, yes I didn't mind him too and often defended him on here against the early Moyes cult members. He (Sullivan) completely jeopardized Bilic, no idea why? I've always thought the little fucker hates a popular manager, which is why on the quiet he's probably quite happy how the current clown is doing, and why I wouldn't rule out a third dose of Moyes. It's how they run the club, split the fan base
