US Election, November 5th

Post Sydney_Iron »

And a bit eerily and worryingly Bonfire night!!!! Let's hope it doesn't descend into that though 🤞

Never know an election be in the news so much, all over Aussie TV and expect the worlds TV as well, so many (non Septic's) have an opinion on it as well? WTF

fuck knows who wins, personally don't care as both sides seem like a pack of cunts, so IMHO there will be no winner for the American people, the best we can hope for is that one side wins convincingly and so less chance of it kicking off but i bet whomever wins none of the doomsayers predictions will come to pass in any shape or form, it will just be business as usual and snouts in the trough for those associated with the winning side.

America will still be a freak show and your average American no better or worse off than before.

It is a slur to claim high immigration is promoted to gerrymander the vote. It’s technically next to impossible and does not stand up to verification.

Sums up Democrat thinking to a tee. No mention of how to win voters on policy, just use celebrity endorsements and mass media smear campaigns against the opposition.

And if that doesn’t work, the election rigging will.

I agree with this. Although the Democrats are winning the culture war so they have no policies to promote other than keep things as they are now: high immigration to gerrymander the vote, recruiting everyone to an oppressor/oppressed world view in which white heterosexuals, particularly men, are always the oppressor by lacing every cultural and civil institution's output with reminders that reinforces that world view. eg rainbow laces at sport's events, rainbow painted pedestrian crossings, HR mandated unconscious bias and diversity training, government funded 'charities' that drip feed their 'research' into the mainstream press about uncovered inequalities that never ever confound the above consensus etc etc. A culture war that we recognise as they exported it here.

Try to find a democrat supporter argue their case without mentioning Trump.

It's impossible.

What was claimed after Trump’s previous election win was not vote rigging but interference from a hostile foreign power acting to weaken the US by placing a clown in the White House.

Those claims happen to be based on very solid ground in every respect however much bullshit you use to fill the box.

Cardi B is currently one of the most popular pop stars in the world. She might look like an idiot and her music isn't to your or my taste but don't underestimate her power of influence with young voters. Anyway, Kamala has the bases covered for older voters and has Bruce Springsteen endorsing her too.

Celebrity endorsements and smear campaigns? Yes, Donald Trump would never do that.

The election rigging comment just shows how far you are down the rabbit hole. Thanks for giving me a good laugh, though.
Never said Trump or the republicans don’t use celebrity endorsements, just that they don’t rely on them instead of policy.

As for election rigging, I’m pretty sure that is what was claimed after Trumps previous election win.

Not sure why you think the Democrats wouldn’t cheat, they’ve tried everything else to prevent Trump from winning.

Watching Cardi B die on stage when the teleprompter broke down at that Harris gig was pretty funny.

My pension will swell if Harris gets in.  She (or they, seeing she's a puppet) won't be stopping any wars any time soon.

If I was in the US, I can understand people having different views for and against voting for Kamala. Voting for a sex offender is just a complete non starter for me, though. Whoever wins, it's very worrying that it's even going to be a close race. A lot of people over there have been swept up in some sort of weird cult.

I reckon Harris will squeak home and it will be celebrated around the world as some kind of victory for good over evil.

Meanwhile America will continue to turn to shit.

Eventually, after a period of unrest and as Trump's influence wains, there will be a purge of the Maga element from the GOP with career politicians like Cruz and Rubio openly renouncing Trump and Maga to try to save their tainted reputations. Vance will try, but will forever be the laughing stock.
In 2028, a very different Republican party will challenge Harris.

I love that I can't watch that without a VPN these days.

Somewhat related, I used to have decent amount of grudging respect for Obama.  He has lost a lot of that this campaign, the speech to Black men and now peddling the "very fine people" hoax. He is smart enough for this to be purposeful.

Has anyone even thought to cost this operation? And where are they supposed to go if the decision to deport is unilateral with respect to the country of origin. Is he going to try to use the armed forces to make sure they go back?

Wholly incorrect.

Any tax cut is not a lynch pin of policy.  The lynchpins have been the reduction of spending, in many other ways in addition to reducing the illegal immigration. See my last post.

The reason for that - in my opinion: people here in North America care less about having more money than being able to use the money they have to live a life.  Buying a house/car/groceries/gas etc -  all these things are massively higher than when I moved back here and especially when I left.   The same concerns I hear in the States.
